In need of positive thoughts and prayers!

@chels my son had a high temp after his men b booster. He's gone a full year with no sickness thanks to Allah, but this vaccine really made him poorly.

His temp got too high whilst sleepin and he ended up havin the seizure in his sleep. It lasted about 9minutes. When his lips started turning blue I thought i was loosing him, I was getting ready to start cpr, I felt my whole world fell apart in a matter of seconds.

When we arrived at the hospital the dr thought it was the start of

Meningitis because he was stil very withdrawn and his neck was really stiff and he was just turned to one side. That wore off tho, they said his body just took longer to relax after the seizure.

He only had the one, but took a good few hours to get his temp down. His heart rate was through the roof at 208+ bpm so we had to stay in resus for a fair few hours before they admitted us into the children's ward.

He got some rest for a few hours and his temp, heart rate etc was stable they let us go home later that day. They did say if he has another within 24 hours they will be doing bloods, CT scan etc

How is he doing now? My lo was off his food for about 5days but kept up with bf him so I wasn't too worried.

My little boy had a febrile seizure after his 2nd birthday. He went from a ball of energy to completely unresponsive in a 2hr time frame. I remember having to leave the room to talk to the emergency services, because I was convinced my baby boy was dying & I couldn't face seeing him like that (my OH was with him). I then walked back in, to see him seizuring. I can honestly say that that was by far the worst day of my life & I wouldn't wish it on my worst enemy! Glad your little boy is ok!

That's so scary!!! See, lo was throwing up every time he coughed but it wasn't like a gag reaction to his coughing. It was as soon as the first cough was coming he would automatically vomit. No fever or anything or any other symptoms of an illness. I should've took him to the er like my gut was saying but instead I listened to his pedi that said it wasn't worth a Doctors trip (before he had his first seizure).

2 hrs after I spoke with his doc it happened.

Now I'm going to be paranoid and probably not get that much sleep if he sleeps because the first one was when he was napping right beside me.

My dd went through something very similar 3 weeks ago. She had 2 seizures in less than 6 hours but all tests came up normal and they figured it to be a viral infection that caused a fever which triggered the seizures. They took so much blood for tests and even did a catheter to test urine. My poor baby. It's so scary when they turn blue though. ? I'll never forget what my baby looked like. She got another virus 2 weeks later and had a third seizure. Thankfully she's doing much better now, although she gave the virus to her sister.

He was a trooper through it all but as soon as a nurse walked into the room he started whining because he knew he was going to get poked around ?.

All day yesterday, my nerves were such a wreck I was vomiting and today I have a migraine. I held my precious boy the entire time except when dh would take him with the nurses to fix his iv because it kept leaking... every time he was in pain, I started crying.

Did your lo only have a seizure that one time? It's crazy how the body and brain works like that.

2 nights in the hospital. After about 10 pokes in my baby not including all the glucose testing every 4 hours.

Ct scan, eeg and MRI, nothing showed of seizure activity on his brain anymore. Everything came back normal today ? thank GOD!

We do have appointments for the next 6 months to make sure it won't be a continuous thing for him since he had 2 within 6 hours of each other. His vomiting stopped and his glucose levels are back to normal.

On our way home!! ❤️ thank you so much ladies for all the kind words and prayers! It was the most scariest moment of my life when my baby turned blue and quit breathing but all is good now and all we are doing is thanking God that our prayers were answered in protecting my baby boy. ❤️❤️❤️

Does he have a fever?

Seizures are terrifying. My 17 month old gets febrile seizures. She's had 3. All she needs is a fever as low as 100 degrees and she'll have one. Each time, even though I know what they are, it scares the heck out of me.

We are staying overnight at the hospital.

His blood sugars keep dropping then spiking up. He had another seizure around 7.

They did ct scan and blood work. Scan looked normal but docs want a neurologist so they are going to do a EEG early tomorrow morning.

He's hooked up to an iv and pushing fluids down him since he keeps vomiting.

Please keep the prayers coming for my little baby boy! ? he really needs them ❤️

Prayers for you and your family :( I know it can be very scary. I've heard it fairly common for young children to have seizures and they either out grow them or never have another after the first. Little bodies, sometimes need a little extra time to work out the kinks in their wiring. I'd be so freaked out, if that happened to my daughter. I hope he recovers fast and I hope, it can be prevented.
