I’m dreading my glucose test 🤮 I have it on Friday and I’m wondering what did you ladies eat before the test? I passed it my previous pregnancy but for this one I’m nervous about failing and can’t remember what I ate before the last one🙄
@leslyev92, come to think of it I don’t think I’ve had oj this entire pregnancy so hopefully it goes well. I still get so grossed out but the most random foods/drinks it’s crazy
@ashleycorinaa, my OB told me to eat that 🤷🏻♀️ I passed with flying colors
@ashleycorinaa, at least you got an option. At my Drs I didn’t really wanna take that drink but they offered no alternatives. I use to drink like a bottle of OJ a day at the beginning of my pregnancy so that would’ve been easy.
@leslyev92, yeah they said the drink or oj and I picked the orange juice 🤷🏻♀️ I’ve heard of some people getting jelly beans instead of either. I guess each place is different lol
OJ for real?! Omg I would’ve loved that. I ate peanuts and failed, I didn’t know I was going in for the glucose test. So might wanna not eat peanuts lol 🤷🏻♀️ then I did the 3 hour one and I was fine, I actually preferred it. The drink even tasted better for the 3 hour one. Not eating for that long was the worst but I didn’t die lol
@ashleycorinaa both times mine were super cold and good lol. It's not for everyone of course. I would have breakfast and then a later lunch afterwards depending on your appointment that is.
I had eggs and sausage. Something to soak up the sugary drink. Lol.
@wafflespancakes, I would do eggs but this baby is not a fan of eggs at all🤮
@august.rae, I wanted to do just a bagel but everyone says stay away from carbs beforehand😩
They told me the 3hr test is the only one you have to go with empty stomach. I had the regular 1hr one but I didn’t know I could of ate so I didn’t. They told me when I finished the test
@wolfnurturer, they are having me do orange juice this time around. 16oz in 5mins. First time around was grape juice lol
@mamaofzuri, I’m glad they said to eat because my appointment is at 1pm🤦🏻♀️ that would have been hard to go that long on nothing
I ate half a bagel with cream cheese my dr told me to eat so I don’t feel sick. It went great. I fasted with my first and was Ill fornlike 2 days
No carbs, no sugar. Bacon and eggs is a great option.
I didn't even know I was having my test but my stomach was fairly empty. I actually love the drinks lol had orange my first pregnancy and fruit punch this go.
I didn’t eat I didn’t want to fail but still ended up failing 💁🏼♀️
I had a pretzel and a slushie, me and my son wanted a snack 🤷🏽♂️
I was told I could eggs. I didn't listen and ate a whole bag of sour Skittles still passed though
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
TWW!!

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
@ashleycorinaa, I think you’ll do just fine, I still get grossed out and I’m 36 weeks so I think it’s normal to feel that way
