Has anyone threw up during the 3 hour glucose test? I didn’t even make it an hour before throwing it all up 😔

@angelreaper171, usually between 24-28 weeks of pregnancy. They have you take a one hour test and if you fail it, you take a 3 hour one. The first test you can eat and drink on but nothing with a lot of sugar and the second you fast with nothing after midnight and they usually have you come in early in the morning. If you fail the first one, don’t worry to much about it because I heard a lot of women fail the first hour test and pass the 3 hour one.

@angelreaper171, I have no clue she didn’t tell me, but I read online that if they can’t get you to not throw up, they usually rule you as just having gestational diabetes and send you to a nutritionist. I’m not a 100% sure though

I never had it but usually would be sick as a dog after . The last time I puked a little and they didn’t make me take it again

What are the other options?

@angelreaper171, sadly yes but not in the same day because they say the sugar is still in your system and if you drink it again the same day it will affect the test differently

@bbhausfeld77, did they have you retake it each time you threw it up or did they say you have gestational diabetes? I know they told me I have to retake it but if I throw it up again, they’re going to try different options.

Do you have to redo it if you throw up?

I throw up every time I had to drink that stuff
