Mine was pushed back 2 days! They just said- we will call you. They then called me at 9pm to go in! I understood the need but it was kind of frustrating because I didn’t know they did that. There are only so many beds. When I did go in it seemed they had plenty of room- I think some people were trying to avoid Halloween babies or something. We had a private room even after delivery, which was really nice. It was actually an old triple room with only one bed and a roll away for Dad. Lots of space with our own bathroom and at the end of a hall. Glad I waited ;).
That was my problem as well. Hospital a little over an hour away and had my appointment scheduled and 30 minutes before walking out the door to take my kids to my parents and head to the hospital they called me they got full and had to reschedule for the next day and it about killed me!! Lol
The woman I shared a room with had twins via c-section and the babies were I am assuming sent to an NICU because I didn't see much of them but she was in a lot of pain asking for medicine all night.
That is the WORST... but so are busy hospitals when it comes to having babies. I shared a room with someone with my first born and it was such a horrible experience.
