@alexis.danclar yes usually but not always. If it's your first baby they really don't recommend being induced with a low bishop score because it almost always ends in a c section and possible other complications. In my case, I had a very very low score but my induction went really well because he was my third baby. My doctor told me the more kids you've had, the better your induction can be even with a low score because your body already knows what to do in labor. I didn't even have to have pitocin. Just cytotec(I think I'm spelling that wrong) to open my cervix so they could break my water.

@threeplusone, well if your Bishop score is low doesn’t that mean increased chance of complications?

I don't get what you're confused about? I had a low bishop score but chose to be induced due to medical reasons. My induction went fine, absolutely no complications.
