First implant no periods for 3 years. Was a little nauseous for a few weeks. But no horrible side effects. Got that one removed and replaced and bam bleeding the whole time. Heavier than my period. Removed that and got on the pill.
@nissii1994 As you all know every body is different and every BC has positive and negative. This is my 2nd time on it and I wouldn't choose any other BC for me. I've done the shot, pills, condom, and now the implant. Shot I loved but after 3 years I had severe head pains and pills made me sick and hell my daughter is the result of pills and a condom. My 1st time on Nexplanon no bleeding the whole year, no excessive weight gain, no moods, it was perfect. This time around I inserted it 6 weeks after my baby so I had slight bleeding that lasted a day and now I've had it for about 6.5 months and same as first go around. No periods and no excessive anything. You can always try it and then go from there. It will itch for a few weeks after so that is normal
I think there will be negatives to any birth control you look at. And I don't think we will know what works with our body until we try it. I asked my doctor why there is so much negatives about the implant and she said it's because it releases more of the medicine then compared to a iud
Dr put it too deep into my arm and it got “lost” and I gained a shit ton of unnecessary weight. Took her an hour to cut it out of my arm. Don’t do it. Either do a mini pill and set ur phone alarm or depo? But I’ve heard stuff from depo too
This is my second time having it. The first time I had it I didn't have a period at all, when I got it taken out I ended up having a cyst on my ovaries that ruptured, after my daughter was born I got it again, and I have been having some weird bleeding going on. They are going to be doing regular ultrasounds to make sure I don't get anymore cysts. I like it, besides the couple of down falls I have had.
