I always heard that breast fed babies don’t get sick as much but my poor dd is sick for the second time this month with a cold. She’s only 11 weeks! Is it normal for her to be sick so much? Had this happened to anyone else?

My ds was bf for 3 weeks only because my supply dropped and I wasn't able to get it back and has been ff since 3 weeks old and hasn't been sick yet *knocks wood*
My son was exclusively breastfed and got sick in December when all those strains of terrible flus went around . I got it BAD and gave it to him. He bounced back WAY faster than I did .
My dd was formula fed and never really sick other than strep at 7 months. Ds is 10 months and bf and seems to always have something. And his sickness lasts the longest!
My cousins daughter was the sickest baby I’ve ever known and she was ebf. I don’t think we can lump them all together. All babies and their immune systems are different.

I think it just depends on the kid. Both my kids are ff n hardly ever sick. My cousin bf her kids till 2 years n they're always in hospital
Aww poor baby. You never know, maybe she’d be sick more often without breast milk? I definitely noticed a difference in my kids. My second dd was breastfed for 2 years and never got fully sick or got better so much quicker than my first dd who was ff after a month of bf. Hope she feels better soon
I got the total opposite with my first 2 boys. My first was bf and formula. Never sick. Ds2 was strictly boob fed lol. He had a double ear infection at 4 months and constantly had colds. Ds3 is bf as well and has a little cold for the second time. He’s 2 months.
Honestly I don’t believe breastfed babies get sick less. My son is formula fed barely gets sick, my friend and sisters kid were breastfed and always sick...
It happens but I can definitely say in the long run it’s true. I breast fed all 3 is my kids and they range in age from 11-4 and we’ve never had any serious sicknesses in my house only common cold or occasional stomach bug, my 4 year old threw up for the first time this month. My brothers son was formula fed and he’s only just over a year and has so many different sicknesses.
When I was breastfeeding Jane she got the worst cold before she was three months. She was almost hospitalized. She got sick again about a month later. It happens. 😩 I hope your dd feels better soon!
