HELP!
So a few days ago I posted about how my daughter was moving to the floor to sleep. Okay, I eventually gave up moving her back to her bed because it was a good 10 times a night. Well now she’s managing to move stuff around and crawl in and fall asleep, and climb stuff! I just found her asleep on top of the dam changer! Yesterday I found her with her head inside the closet and body out (we have a Chain lock on her closet so I’m assuming she was only able to fit her head in), it’s getting dangerous! I’ve asked her why she moves out of her bed but she doesn’t communicate well enough to answer. I’ve even switched her mattress. Please anyone have any idea what’s going on?! How can I stop this before my baby gets hurt?! I’m just considering moving everything but the bed out of her room for now

Seems to me she a sleep walker. My brother did that as a kid but he almost went outside. You should look into a sleep study and definitely talk to her doctor about it to see of they recommend anything else.

Mayb trying getting her one of those sleeping bag blankets to sleep in and c if she stays. I'd also mention it to her pedetrician at her next appointment

Omg that scares me. She knows how to open all the doors, I can’t seem to find a baby gate to fit her door. Do you think it’s sleep walking even though she like makes her little bed and all? She takes her blanket and plus toys with her. @chelleyb93,

Like a sleep sack that you wear? Or a regular sleeping bag?@n_favors,

Yea people can do weird thing in that kind of state. You need to get safety locks for all doors and cabinets. My parents ended up putting and alarm on all exit doors to sound if it was opened because of him.

The kids sleeping bag some u zip and some u just throw the lil fold part across u. Either one should b fine though even sleep sack is worth a try

@chelleyb93, thanks! I’m gonna give the dr a call tomorrow. I have cabinets locked up and put the baby gate in the front door for now.

Is her room too warm maybe? I'm referencing my dog because I immediately thought of him.. so he sleeps in bed with us but when it's too hot he goes to the floor or in a basket near our bed. And he does that only if he is too hot. Maybe your daughter is hot or uncomfortable in her bed. How long has she been sleeping in it?

@floralfairy, that’s what I thought but I’ve tried both making the room colder and warmer with no change. & about three months but the mattress has been the same for over about 2 years.

- Sounds like she’s a sleepwalker. It gets really scary once night terrors kick in.. 😅 it’s not funny, but I’ve got some funny memories with it. It’s scary as hell. My cousin, she’s 13 now. But she’s done that all her life. My aunt worked nights so I was pretty much living at her house watching the kids when I was in high school. We were always pulling her out of the weirdest places. Reminded us of the exorcism of Emily Rose most times 😅 once I was watching scary movies, I can’t sleep at other peoples houses, and it was super late. And just as the lightening struck, I saw her out of the corner of my eye standing right next to me. I jumped so quick I threw myself out of the chair and broke the window with my elbow. Seven stitches later 😅😅 we still talk about that. There was her being quiet and then there were times she’d start screaming either running down the hall at you or you’d go to her and she’d be asleep under the bed. Once she was standing asleep, on the counter, eyes open. Freaking devil child 😅😅 okay I got way off topic. And legit just looked over my shoulder a dozen times while typing. It’s just me and my boy here 😅 anywho. There’s not much you can do for sleep walking. Other than keep them safe. We had those pain in the butt locks on all the external doors.

@beccaaalynnn11, oh god. Yeah. My mind automatically goes to the creepy kid that pops up down the hall in horror movies. I’m scared to put a camera in her room to see what she’s doing and how she’s getting there.
