Yup there’s a huge difference. If you’re getting financial help, advice, coparetning, but aren’t with child’s father you’re a single woman and a mother who just so happens to be single.

You’re a single mom either way....you’re always a mother regardless if the guys in the picture or not...if you take care of an offspring everyday and no man in the picture or if he pays child support...you’re a single mother 😑🤷🏼♀️

I was a single mother for a loooong time. With absolute no help whatsoever. I started dating my bf and he was divorcing his wife and all of a sudden she loves to throw in “I’m a single mother!! Blah blah” it gets me annoyed becauseeeee my bf gives her 1 grand a month in child support, pays for her car, insurance and if her acct is at a negative he deposits money. Like how in the world do u claim to be a single mom.?
