Has anyone ever done and IUI (insemination) at home using an IUI kit?! My husband wants to do the IUI on me at home so we don't have to spend $500 every time we have to get an IUI done...

IUI Monday!! So today I went in for my routine bloodwork and ultrasound, and found out that I have three follicles at 17mm! Plus another two at 15mm. When leaving the clinic my FS said to take another dose of gonal-f and come back tomorrow to check to see how big they got and that we would do the iui on Wednesday. Well, after getting home, taking my gonal-f and going out to shovel snow (lol) I get a call saying that I am SURGING!!! I haven't ovulated on my own, or even come close to it in years!!! It was a good thing we picked up a trigger shot before we left too :-)
December IUI So our IUI is happening today. God willing, my husband had to provide a sample at home this morning. I'm so nervous that I didn't get the sample to them in time, they told me 20-30 mins, we live exactly 20 mins away.
done having kids For those of you who are done having kids, did you just like know or what? We have two kids. Ds is going to be 4 on the 30th and I just had dd Feb 6th. My fiance says he doesn't want anymore. As of now, I don't feel like I want anymore either but I honestly don't know. I've always wanted three kids. We are still young (I'm 21, and he's 22) I'm no where near even thinking about having another at the moment. I really wanna get settled in life with good income and a nice home before having anymore if we do. So really, my question is, how do you know you're just done having kids?

I would recommend just letting the doctors do that. I’ve done it with a doctor and it took on the first try. It was extremely painful and if my husband were to do it I would have thought the pain was him not doing it correctly. Which is probably what would have happened.

Same was very painful if you had the hsg done I felt like it was pain comparable but worse. I was also blessed it worked on our first try currently 16w6d with our first. Not sure what kit includes but we did our round with clomid, ovidrel and progesterone and they “wash” the sperm before they inserted it. Would hate for you to try at home or get discouraged it might not work then have to spend money on the iui anyway.

That's what I'm going to be doing starting this July, kind of. Only I'm doing ici with a sperm donor. So not exactly the same, lol! But I'd love to know how it goes for you, no one on here seems to have done or be doing at home insemination, it gets kind of discouraging, tbh.

@miloorflorencetbd yeah my husband and I were talking about doing the IUI at home because it cost $500 everytime you get it done which is crazy...

@taylor.passwaters yeah i think im gonna have the dr do it this cycle and just see what happens...im trying so hard to keep my mind busy, and I take prenatal vitamins, litrozole and the ovidrel shot..i use to take clomid but it started to thin out my lining so he switched it to litrizole..
