So, I just really need to vent... so I’m a first time mom only 20 and pretty close with my mom, we found out back in January my grandpa and liver cancer and their only giving him maybe 9 months top, well he’s getting worse so now my mom will be moving at the end of either next week or the week after to go take care of him on top of that my husband and I are trying to decide if we take the risk of getting a home or stay in an apartment for another year to work on our credit, and on top of that my insurance that has been covering my pregnancy this whole time just decided at my 33 week app to change our plan without telling us and then suspend me from the plan period! So now on top of my family moving and leaving and stressing out about a home I no longer have insurance to cover myself and baby and we have to pay everything out of pocket, and I honestly just want to cry. I’m due any day now and my family is leaving me I know it’s for a good reason but I want to be selfish and have them here with me.

What insurance company is it? I’d do whatever I could to appeal it

@whoswhoo, because I was pregnant! 😂 it was a pregnancy plan that we told them I was pregnant and that’s why we needed it from the beginning but they canceled mine but left my husband on trying to say we owed more for my husband by himself then when we were both on it

What’s the reason why they cut you off?

@whoswhoo, his job doesn’t offer insurance cause he’s an independent operator so we had to find our own
Nancy·
@chrissysumm, so you were on your husbands insurance?

@whoswhoo, we’re trying for Medicaid but my hubby owns his own business so for some reason it’s a lot more complicated to try and get Medicaid

That’s a lot to deal with! Have you applied for emergency Medicaid? I think it’s always best to keep saving and work on credit, but if you have the opportunity to buy now, it might be good to do it. I have no advice about your mom leaving though, except maybe be as understanding as you can and call her everyday.
