I'd honestly go to a different place to use the restroom. I don't care about the gender in there, I'd care about the possibility of being stuck in a vulnerable private place with someone who may or may not be a predator. I wouldn't take my 2 year old in there either. 🤷🏼‍♀️ predators are everywhere, I won't take my chances. It's not at all about someone's gender, more my comfort and safety.

I have never had a man in the bathroom with me and I’d be weirded the fuck out if there was one right next to me listening to me poop or piss. It’s not even a matter of fucking weirdos it’s just fucking weird period. If you don’t think giving access to men to be in a women’s bathroom isn’t going to amplify their ability and weird ass desire to creep than you’re wrong af.

For the people who don’t care that men are using the stall next to you or the urinal than good for you, but you don’t get to make the ones who do care the bad guys. 🤚🏼

I saw this yesterday for the first time too. It makes sense to me if it's just one stall. I might be a little hesitant if it was more than that lol but only because I'm a nervous nelly.

Well at Starbucks it makes sense they typically have single stalls so why do they need to be separated by gender. Who cares you are in there alone either way. Lol although I used to work at Starbucks and cleaned the bathrooms and the men’s bathroom was always nasty af. Like poop and pee everywhere. The women’s stayed pretty clean.

@spookylyn, I agree with you

The only issue I could have with it is people taking advantage of it, more like creepy men who don’t identify as women just taking advantage

Ya know what I mean ?

@sparklingjewels, at my old job the men would have to be talked to about how disgusting their bathrooms were. The cleaning crew hated their bathrooms.

@spookylyn, I agree, to an extent. It makes it so much easier if there's nothing restricting them. Even if it is *just* a sign on a wall it's better than nothing. This gives them free access.

Its single stalls. One was dirty asf that's the only one I could use.

I personally have needed to use the bathroom with single stalls and hated waiting for women's but womens is sometimes cleaner than mens. So I like the idea I can pick, but as far as being clean I want a womens bathroom.

I just wish more bathrooms were like the ones we saw in Europe. There was a lot of places that had one bathroom (multiple stalls) for everyone (usually in big cities and you had to pay to use it). But every stall was its own room, walls from floor to ceiling. Once you closed the door you was in your own room. Then there was no worry about who was in the stall beside you because nobody can see anyone else.

I’m so glad that laws stop criminals. Phew. What would we do if bathrooms have permission for perverts to attack?!? 😱

From my own experience- women’s restrooms are far more disgusting.

I’m confident most, if not all, of the people in this thread have already been in a public restroom with someone who was born with a penis and didn’t have a clue.

@spookylyn, I don’t even like using a restroom with random women. That’s my preference. Having a man in a restroom with me freaks me out that’s also my preference. If you’re trans then whatever? I’m talking about a man, not a woman. Not a man who identifies as a woman. A MANNNN. My husband would never feel comfortable being in the bathroom with another woman and that’s out of respect for the her or the child he might have to be in there with. How is it wrong to be uncomfortable with it? It’s not. If they’re separate bathrooms than of course I don care, because I’m not gonna have to walk in to a restroom with a man’s penis hanging out in the urinal. 😖

@spookylyn, I’m confused why were even debating lol. I mean I have NO issue with someone who identifies as a woman using that restroom. Most likely I’d probably never know, but if dude man, like a man man man walks in I’m gonna feel super weird. I just will. It’s weird. Lol I cannot undo that feeling if I wanted to. But I do still stand on the fact that even though criminals do things with laws in place (obvy) we all know if we make it easier then I mean? It’s just common sense. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I mean I’m not gonna check your penis. If you identify as a woman I’ll never know and I’m 100% for being who you are, But if billy bob big man guy walks in y’all. Ima feel some type of way. 😂😳😬👐🏼

@spookylyn, I know that’s true. I’m sorry that it seems that way. I promise you for me personally it’s just men that freak me out. Lol I would never want to make someone feel inadequate because of something as dumb as bathrooms. I always think of it this way. I love my children, and one day they will be who they are and it may be different at first and I may not totally understand it but I will love them regardless. I will want them to feel worthy and equal no matter who they are and where they are.

I guess I don't get the concern because 1)I hate all public bathrooms the same 2) I went to a college with shared showers and bathrooms in the dorm which I believe is fairly common 3) women's bathrooms have long lines and I usually duck into the men's already so gender neutral would make ME feel less awkward and safer (with more foot traffic) lol 4) we don't have gender separate bathrooms in our homes 5) my husband often can't/won't take our children to the bathroom with him in public because of opposite gender AND lack of changing tables in men's rooms. I'm all for this!

@mummytobe093, your son will be one of those men one day. Fair to Judge him just because he has a penis? Or does your husband not bring the kids in the men’s room? What if there was a woman in there?

I don’t even like other women listening to me go to the bathroom 😂

Unisex bathrooms have been around for as far as I can remember-they’re exactly the same as this. They’ve always been single bathrooms. I doubt they will get rid of multi stall men’s/women’s bathrooms.

@laniejay, we use parents rooms. This is my preference. Sometimes it’s not just the choice you have to consider, it’s the mental aspect. Women shouldn’t have to suck it up because a minority feel a certain way. We as women, do have feelings also and feeling unsafe around the opposite sex is indeed pretty common.

It’s definitely a controversial topic, but what a lot don’t realize is they are *already* sharing bathrooms with trans people. I have a friend who transitioned into a male. You would NEVER know unless you saw him without pants on. Facial hair, short hair, muscular body, everything. You’d definitely think that’s a man walking into a lady’s restroom, and you would not like it. And what about a male that has transitioned into a female? Breast implants, taken hormones, had facial surgery, long hair and makeup... you think it’s a good idea for them to go into a man’s bathroom? You’ve already been sharing restrooms with these people. You just don’t realize it because they’ve nearly fully transitioned.

I get the fear, but it doesn’t have much of a leg to stand on. There’s no proof that assault is going to go up more than it already has. 🤷🏼‍♀️ & this is all coming from a Christian who doesn’t particularly support transitioning as it is. Just someone who thinks we shouldn’t try to control what bathrooms a person can use because we don’t understand.

Отметок «Нравится»: 2

@spookylyn, absolutely not. Everyone using the parent room are in there for the same purpose. If I see a man standing in the parents room with no child I leave immediately.

Here’s an example. Should she go into a male’s bathroom?

Отметок «Нравится»: 0

@spookylyn, a parents room is a small space for families so yes it is much easier to feel comfortable around adults with children. Everyone who disagrees on this post, you’ve had to comment on, how about you comment your opinion and you let us comment ours. It’s an opinion we shouldn’t need to be going back and forth. I feel safe mentally in a women’s bathroom surrounded by women. End of story. As the other ladies above have mentioned if it’s a trans that wants to use a bathroom fair enough but the option to have a neutral bathroom freaks me out.

@spookylyn, but you’re going back and forth for nothing. We both agreed that a trans can use any bathroom they want. So why are you still going on and on and on and on and on........

@spookylyn, your comment right now isn’t going to alleviate anyones fear, just give it a rest. Goodness. Fear isn’t something that can be fixed so easily. Many women have had bad experiences with men and it stays with them for a lifetime.

Отметок «Нравится»: 1

@spookylyn, look I get you’re coming from a good place, but it’s a bit of a slap on the face for those who have been through something traumatically with the involvement of the opposite sex. You can’t cure fear in an instant, I really wish you could. There are more aspects we need to consider when discussing this topic. We will agree to disagree.

I also wouldn’t use these bathrooms and would go to another place to use the bathroom zero issues with trans but very uncomfortable to not have the option of all three a gender neutral ,a men, and women’s bathroom .

Men have a lot of power and have a specific presence I’m automatically fearful if I see a man in a woman’s space .
