Why Do I Feel Judged Going to Appointments Alone?

Other than our first child together my husband doesn’t come to my apt. We normally go to a private place to find out gender together but other than that I’m by myself. He is our sole provider so I would never expect him to take off for everything.

I feel you, my husband doesn’t go with me to my appts😩 but he’s like the main guy at his job so I get it.. my one year old comes with me 💕 lol

Same mine always comes with me he decided to not come today and I’m pissed

I’d rather him work than be there as long as he doesn’t miss her birth

I feel u! My husband came this one time and he was going crazy that he was gonna be late for work. I told him I just rather go alone from now on lol.

@bklynmommydoll, I really wanted to do a gender reveal just to see the look on his face because he wanted a boy lol but I wanted a girl since we have two boys already

@janery, I hate going alone because I get bored lol and I have to remember what the doctor said to tell him when he gets off but I understand that he has to work so I suck it up

lol I go through the same thing I always get these nasty looks while waiting like no I’m not a single mom my man is just working

My husband only comes to the ultrasounds at the hospital, and that's only because I'm able to schedule them when he's home.

He doesn't need to be there for my 5 minute appointments at the office, and I haven't ever noticed husbands or boyfriends attending those appointments.

I wouldn't worry about it. I'm sure they will think whatever they want to make the wait more interesting.

Ugh same here!!! Hes usually with me but, has been working outta town during the week. I see all the stares.... makes u wanna reach out and touch someone lol...

Oh and i would also like to add to my comment....

And who the F cares wether a mother is single or not!!! This also gets under my skin... i have a 12 (13 next month) son . Which i was a single mom most of the time and am damn proud of it 😎

I know right! He isn’t going to book off a day of work for a 5 minute appointment. He goes to my important ones ( very first, my ultrasound, and first time meeting OB and at my pre-op in a couple weeks). He’s my hard working man 😍

Also doesn’t help that I look so young! Haha I’m 24 and married and this baby was planned so leave your judgements at the door k thanks 👋🏼 people are so judgy even if I was a young single mom who didn’t plan a baby at least I’d be taking responsibility for my pregnancy 🤷🏻‍♀️

Walk in there with confidence your head held high, dont be intimidated by judging looks. I saw a teen in my office with her dad. Her and I made eye contact and I smiled at her. I hope it helped her!
