What can I do to help my breast milk increase? They are engorged and I have mastitis

You don’t want to increase your milk if you are engorged and have mastitis... ? I’m confused. Can you explain further what you are trying to do? Did you mean decrease?

The best way to increase supply is to breast feed in demand or pump for at least 20 min every few hours. I'm confused why you want to increase if your overly full. Either way if you put baby to breast each time he/she asks for as long as they want your supply will smooth out and you'll just produce what baby needs.

I lived on heating pads. I had to rub my boobs with the heat as well. I used cabbage and it never decreased my supply but really helped. Have you been seen?

@sparklingjewels, im trying to get my milk to come out my milk is not coming out and I’m getting treated for mastitis but I have to keep pumping and I not getting anything out of my right breast

You can express just a little if youre overly full but just remember each time you express your body thinks that it needs to produce that for baby so try not to do it too much.

The best way to empty your breast is to let baby nurse, baby is the most efficient at emptying the breast if the latch is good. You may need to see a lactation consultant though to make sure the latch is good because a bad latch can cause your breast not to empty well and lead to these problems you are having. But use a heat compress and massage your breast and let baby nurse from the breast as much as possible.

Aw sorry to hear that! Try to pump in the shower or in a relaxing bath. It may even help to look at his picture while you pump you need to stimulate those mommy feelings to help with let down
