Looking to buy a new vacuum. Any suggestions?

@ambralxndr, 🤦🏼‍♀️ Men if he keeps it outside it wouldn’t be so bad because our dog stays in his little house and has a big pin that he runs around in and my husband walks him because I can’t anymore because I’m still healing and I have to take care of our newborn and hopefully they’ll replace it because that’s awful they should of replaced it when those other people moved out

@cphelps39 I have a Kirby Avalir, 100 year anniversary one. My dad bought it for 1000 from one of our dealers but he gave it to me for the kids so they can have the cleanest floors to play on.

I have a dyson animal works on our stairs but that’s about it we use a shop vac for the rest of our house. Although we have hardwood floors and a German Shepherd so we pretty much live in hair.

If you don’t have a dog that sheds a ridiculous amount the dyson is nice. Very light weight and the charge it holds is just long enough

I talked them down a whole lot on my Kirby sentria and traded in my shark and my rug shampooer

@ambralxndr I used to be a kirby representative, there's always payment plan options available and as long as your credit is half way decent they try to work with any income and they can even take your old vacuum in and give you a discount. I'd definitely look more into that, they are by far the best machines on the market and you'll never have to buy another vacuum again, all the other name brand vacuums like dyson, shark, etc are made to quit after a few years so you keep giving money to the company.

@amberjacq, it really is the worst. were just renting for now so if it still smells after another cleaning I’m going to ask that they replace the carpet. SO just asked if he could bring home a puppy. Ha! No sir, no you cannot 🙂 lmao

@ambralxndr, oh lord that is awful I can’t stand animal smell in the house that’s why my dog is an outdoor dog and plus I don’t want an animal peeing and pooping on the same floor my son plays on, you might have to replace the carpet completely because that smell sticks around especially (and I’m positive they did because animals have accidents) if they’ve pooped and peed on the carpet, Home Depot normally has carpet in the back that is like left over from people who bought to much and brought it back it’s always on sell so maybe you could measure the floor and see how much carpet and padding you’ll need and maybe you could replace it for a good price, me and my husband in the last place we lived we had to replace the floors and the carpet because the people who lived there before us had 10 cats and dogs that lived there so it smelled disgusting and it looked disgusting we had to clean and bleach and replace a lot of stuff

I’ve always heard good things about the shark vacuums. If they aren’t too expensive maybe I’ll try to sway to SO into a nice Mother’s Day purchase 😅

Get the shark 🦈 it’s a lot but so worth it for the money mine is extremely light weight and it’s so great!

@ambralxndr, I would suggest having Kirby come do a demonstration at your house. They will vacuum and shampoo your carpet as part of the demo ! No obligation to buy- just keep saying no or tell them you have to go to an appointment at the end of it lol. I did it twice when I needed my carpet cleaned lol

The rainbow cleaning system! Its really expensive but so worth it. Its a vacuum on hardwood and carpet and an air cleaner to! It requires water in a bowl it has and to clean all you do is dump down the toilet and wipe it down

@ambralxndr, it was great! I loved having the canister for easy dirt removal. It had very good suction and was lightweight. Before then I was buying Hoover's and replacing them like every 2 years...

The shark isn't as versatile as my Kirby though. I can do everything with it including shampoo my carpets

@amberjacq, ugh the dog is part of the problem, and we don’t even have one lol!! The previous tenants must have bred dogs because the dog smell still comes around on hot days. I’m gona hardcore steam clean again and hopefully using a whole bunch of the odor powder and a good vacuum can do me some good

How much money are you willing to spend? I bought a Kirby about 5 years ago. They're expensive but they last forever. I will be able to hand it down to my daughter.
