My husband has just applied for a swing shift position at his work. He’s been there for 5 years, and he just isn’t moving up where he is. It’s mainly to increase finances. He’ll be going from a regular 7-3:30/5 days a week job, to swing shift. I don’t know how I’ll handle it, but hopefully everything transitions and goes smoothly.

Swing shifts are rough. My hubby was on a swing shift for 3 years and I never really got use to it it was nice to have the days off with him.

@batmom16, everyone he & I have talked to tell us it’s rough.. but with our 2nd child about to be here, he’s just wanting something that will bring more to the table financially. Taking any other position, he’s take a pay cut & that’s just not an option. I just hope he can handle the change. I think he can, it’ll just take a bit to adjust. I am looking forward to getting more days with him though.

I get that. My hubby is on night shift for the money too it sucks he dosent get much time with our daughter but it's the only way too make ends meet. Hopefully he will do alright with it.

@batmom16, yeah, where my husband is it comes with a lot of overtime. Bittersweet, but with prayer and support I think he’ll do great!
