I’ve never heard of this either. Very interesting.
I have a subchorionic hemotoma and started hemorrhaging at 17 weeks. My midwife said they can be normal. It didn’t make me high-risk. I’ve had a normal pregnancy since then. It looks very similar to this accept it’s only in one area on the left side where my placenta attached to my uterus as opposed to a pool in the center. Is it blood, fluid, or a solid mass?
Did your doctor say you have to go see him/her more often? How many ultrasounds have you had so far? I’ve had two extras just to keep an eye on it. I wouldn’t stress.
I had one in my first pregnancy and it caused no issues. In fact, they thought it was a subchorionic hematoma at first so I was sent to a high risk doctor. As soon as they determined it was a placental lake, they told me it was no big deal and would most likely cause no issues.
