Oh! Sorry! Now I see you meant flying!
Yes, I would definitely travel on a plane with an infant! They sleep well and you can hold or put in car seat and feed anytime you need to without having to pull over like in a car.
@yesicondaa, pack as light as possible and check everything you can haha. Make sure you check ahead to see what’s available to you at your final destination. Many hotels have cribs or pack n plays, or if you are staying with family see if they can find you one to borrow. Most airlines will let you check baby stuff for free but make sure you look it up. I also choose to use a carrier instead of a stroller as they are a hassle at the airport. Waiting till every passenger has gotten off the plane for a stroller puts you at the end of every single line.
There should be no issue. My daughters first flight was at 3 months by myself and it was easy. Just make sure you feed during take off and landing to help the ears pop (or pacifier). Honestly don’t let travelling with kids/babies scare you. The more you do it when they are little the better travellers they are when they are older. My kids do great, but we travel all the time with them.
@leowifey, yea i wouldnt be traveling alone with the baby so ill be expecting my husband to help with at least the luggages while i handle the baby/stroller.
@mamaofzuri, seriously feeling a lot better about it! They said “if you love your son you wont go” and it kinda made me feel inconsiderate but i also dont want to hold back from traveling just because i become a mom. 😕
Personally I probably wouldn't plan to go in that situation, but more for other reasons than the flight itself.
That said, you can certainly choose to go and work through any difficulties. Your call momma!
@mamaofzuri, yes its a 4 hr flight. Im hoping its not too bad just have to feed him during take off/landing so his ears wont pop. Omg good luck! Thats a long flight lol!
@kellynicole, omg thank you!!! Lol that makes me feel better!!! im told to wait until my son is at least a year but i can only imagine the fits he would throw as a toddler 🤣
@carissazucca302, yes thats how i see it! I dont want to over complicate my life over the little things. But my mom/sis sees it as a hassle im guessing.
@leowifey, yes fly out... id imagine he’d just eat and sleep like many babies. Usually they get fussy when they’re hungry/need a change or sleepy. But then again never been a mom so idk.
@mamaofzuri, From chicago to mexico. I asked my Dr. she said it would be fine. I would just want others opinions though. My mom/sis are trying to convince me & my husband not to go but their only reason is “he’s too small”
Travel as in fly? Only if necessary because he's likely to be uncomfortable and fussy, which also makes a rough flight for other passengers. Also, it would be a hassle with all the baby stuff.
On the road, sure but not a long road trip because I hate being trapped in a car, I can only imagine my infant would only tolerate it so long.
