I'm from Jamaica where tea is a cure all for whatever ails you. e.g
Me: "The doctor told me I have kidney failure"
Family member: "Drink some tea, it'll flush out the kidneys"
Me: "My leg hurts"
Family member: "Drink some tea to clean your blood"

Hey, apple cider vinegar cures my cough any day over OTC meds.

My father is Dominican/Carribean.... Tea, Vick’s, soup & prayer can cure all according to anyone on his side of the family.
This is a West Indian thing I believe lol my so is from Guyana and that’s his answer to everything and his mothers. Tea & Vick’s... the Vick’s literally drives me nuts.

What are some discontinued/throwback foods or drinks you miss?
Is there any other tea drinking moms on here? I usually drink a cup of tea right before bed and would like to try some new ones that are budget friendly. My sister suggested Teavana but I told her that's too expensive for me right now.
My fridge picture... needless to say my husband drinks a lot of soda and I drink a lot of tea ?

Yes! Lol. I’m Puerto Rican (also mixed with Panamanian and Spaniard). Vick’s Vapor Rub and homemade ginger and lemon tea solve all your problems. 😂
