Moms, if you breastfeed and have littes who sleep 6 to 7 hours, do you get up and pump inbetween, or not?
@emily_02 She refuses a bottle, so, I'm hoping to breastfeed for at least a couple years. If anything we'd probably just go to a sippy cup if we ever needed to, or something along those lines.
@bhtslove, I rarely ever give my daughter a bottle either. Only when we’re out in public. I think it’s a good idea to get them used to a bottle for when your milk dries up so it can make the transition easier. That’s another reason why I keep a stash as well b/c if you do go on formula you can also give them the breast milk you have in the freezer as it is still good to use for about 12 months- again, it will help with the transition.
@emily_02 Yeah, I get that, makes sense. I just don't pump often as my daughter doesn't drink from a bottle, but maybe I should.
I always pump to have some milk stashed up and the more you pump and feed, the more milk your body produces because it signals your body letting it know that it needs to make more.
I mean, I personally pumped if I missed a feeding so I would get up once a night to pump
@ecahanes I just don't want my supply to go down, and she's not eating solids so I'm her only food source.
I would say now that she is 7 months it's not a big necessity just watch it
@kissesz30 So smart! My baby doesn't take a bottle though. 🤷♀️
@jhalsted1995 @sparklingjewels @may042017 Okay, I just get so paranoid I'm not going to make enough for her if I don't. I have this fear in my head that if I don't pump or have her eat regularly and if I go that long my body will think I'm done. ☹ She doesn't normally sleep that long, this was a first. Usually she's up every 2 to 3 hours. So I just thought I'd ask, if she happens to ever sleep that long again.
Ha!! I never woke up to pump! That sleep is wayyy too precious ;)
I did just to have a stash for when I’m not around.
Nope. It’s a bit painful the first few times but yes it will regulate.
Nope. Your milk will regulate around you babies sleep schedule
What would you do with $25,000
If you received an extra $25,000. What would you do with it? ?

I breastfeed 2 kids for nearly 2 years each. I never pumped like ever because like you my kids wouldn’t take a bottle. And I never got anything when I pumped anyways. You are fine to go through the night without pumping trust me! Your body will not just suddenly stop producing. I haven’t breastfed my youngest since like November and I’m confident that I could still produce if I started putting a baby on my boob. I still feel that “tingle” sometimes. You body is made to adjust to her schedule. Don’t stress yourself and let yourself enjoy that sleep!
