I worked in a center and our ratio was 4:1. It was terrible and stressful and there were many times we had over 12 babies in one room. I’d go with a reputable family daycare or nanny
It really depends on each place. A lot of family ones are sketchy and or have too many children. Some centers are sketchy too and some are impersonal. Like previous poster said, look at the ratio. What I like about centers, is they are very particular about this. Often in infant ones you will see a 2:1 or 3:1 ratio. Which is why you pay more. Personally I prefer a 1:1 in my home and hired someone for that. If we used a daycare though there is one that I remember looking at- I remember it was 3:1 and they had cameras. You couldn’t view the cameras from home for safety, but at anytime you could go in the office and watch them- which I personally liked. I would only do a family center if I knew them well or had tons of good reviews from trusted people/ I still feel off about them, because you never know who else is living in that house and what might happen because of that.
