@irisdiaz33, we’ve been through a lot and I love him but lately it feels like he thinks being a good husband and dad is all about taking care of the financial stuff... no spending time with the baby or myself and everything is an excuse
When I find a Royal Consort is being annoying or has used up all of his usefulness I simply have him escorted out of an airlock into the cold darkness of space.
Most men feel it's their duty to provide. And sometimes don't understand how you feel. Maybe he just doesn't see where you want change. I'd express your feelings to him and give specific, reasonable things you'd like to change. If he is the only income, I'd be mindful of the possible loss of some.
So he's the sole source of income for your family but he "ain't shit"?
Yes, I agree that he needs to help with taking care of the house and sharing in parenting duties, but that's pretty callous to say about him when he's busting his butt to financially provide. ☹️
@scruffy.nerf.herder, when I say he ain’t shit I’m talking about the effort he puts into raising our son... he has time at 2 in the morning to install speakers in his car but won’t put the baby to bed or play with him. And no he’s not “busting his butt”. He calls me everyday from work to tell me he’s hiding in the break room because he didn’t do any work all shift and is just waiting to clock out. And As I tell him to his face , how can you make time for one thing but not something important. And he tells me that I can handle the baby for a few while he plays in the trunk of the car. So yeah, my husband ain’t shit
@mitiacarolina3, he doesn't sound like a model employee that's for sure! But he is still the income for the family, so be grateful for that.
Like I said, communication is key! Keep on letting him know how you'd like him to spend time with you and the baby. Take baby to him and say "Baby wants time with daddy". Don't let him mentally check out of parenting. It's a 50/50 kind of job
@scruffy.nerf.herder, I’m still trying. Been at it since Zach was born ... and I told my husband he only makes time for what he wants and nothing matters outside of it. I’ve cried, begged, and even threatened him... he doesn’t care. Our son looks at him in surprise everytime he walks through the door and he doesn’t want to be around him for long . And if he can’t see me he will throw a fit even if my husband is holding him .... since day one I’ve been talking to him but all he cares about is what he wants to do
