@xroses oh wow that sucks the ones in the hospital are stronger and her doc told me if this one doesn't help then she'll have to go back to the hospital I really hope/pray that it helps her

@tosha6 A week, that is soo long. Yea jaundice really sucks. At least you could use the light at home tho. Here they dont give that option, baby has to stay in hospital.

@xroses my 1st had it bad they made him stay longer in the hospital and they wouldn't let me hold him he had to be under the light 24/7 I had to hand pump evey 2 hours and they made me give hime formula so that he was eating every hour and he had to use a blanket light for a week at home which is what she's using right now so at least I can still hold her :-)

Awww poor thing, I hope her jaundice goes away soon. Once she is having bm that's a good sign. I had to stay 3 extra nights in the hospital with baby under uv, she was suppose to be under it 24/7. And on the first day I kept taking her off to feed, change diapers, cuddle and her levels went higher. It was soo hard to not hold her as much but her levels finally dropped by day 3.

@babycathy I know I was shocked all they wanted to do was keep us longer just to neglect and charge me tons more money

@tosha6, it is spring .. I’m surprised they didn’t want to put her under blue light when she was there they did for d’yla and her jaundice went down in three days

@babycathy I have but it gets really windy here too and it didn't help she was outside for like 3 hours Monday cause it was nice and yesterday it was a crap day so I would lay her by the window and today was crapy to plus her appt

Take her out into the sun for some fresh air and sunlight

@leowifey I think it's just hard on me she seems to be fine with it so far she's only had it on for 3.5 hours we'll see how tomorrow goes

Sounds like shes doing good! Just keep it up and try sleep even if you lay there with your with your eyes closed it helps

@tyrellp me too I try not to let her go past 2 hours of not eating and she's been pooping like crazy since she was born

@tosha6 yeah all 3 of my kids had it i got them out of it pretty fast though over night, my baby took a while to come out of it. I fed him every hour and it just kept getting higher a whole week. I hope your little one comes out of it soon!
