It took my daughter to almost 10 months to fully be gone.

@rnjohnson2116 aww. My girl was pretty much bald. And still is!! Lol that was all I could see for a while. It does get better though!!

How long has he had it? All 3 of mine got it but my youngest just couldn’t get rid of it my doctor ended up prescribing something and it was gone after a couple uses.

My daughter has had the same since 2 months like dandruff and I tried coconut, black castor, and grapeseed oils and they helped but it kept coming back. Her dad put some unscented aveeno baby 2 days ago, I scratched the flakes off and it hasnt came back since so hopefully it stays that way

@mimixtmn, I’d say for about a month. Maybe a little longer. Had it return like 3 times. He has his next appt in June but I’d hate to wait that long for a solution 😫

If it’s only been a month I wouldn’t be stressing .. it can be annoying but it’s a process to get rid of. All of my kids had it over a month, I think my daughter had it for 6 months before the dr prescribed anything. I just combed it out daily so her hair wasn’t flakey.

My 2 year old came back when I had the baby I'm assuming my husband used the same brush on them so now I'm battling his again. I bought a shampoo and conditioner that a hair stylist suggest and it works pretty good.

@rnjohnson2116 the lotion, I used to use the wash/shampoo in her hair but I think thats what dried her scalp

My mum and grandma swear by olive oil. Bub doesn't have cradle cap but he's getting dry skin too and they've suggested i try it. Just rub a tiny bit into their scalp and leave it then wash it out with their next bath.

My son had this. It wasn’t full cradle cap but dry dandruff stuff. I bought a cradle cap comb and I used baby oil. Lots of it. I rubbed it in one night while he was asleep in my arms. I let it sit about 45 mins. I gave him a bath and scrub his head multiple times since I put a lot of oil. I used the comb to comb out the flakes when his hair was wet. I also put unscented aveeno lotion on after that and it hasn’t come back since. He is now almost 2 months. He had it for about 2-3 weeks

I use baby oil and a fine comb.

My 17 month old still has some. Takes from his dad with the dry skin.

I used a shampoo for all 3 of my kids. It’s made to treat cradle cap and it smells soooo good. It’s called Mustela shampoo in the baby section. I usually get it from target, about $12 a bottle. But that one bottle will last you the entire first year. At least it did for me 🤷🏼‍♀️

I use olive oil & a comb and get the crusties off with that. It works for me

Maggie had cradle cap on the top of her head. It was just like flaky skin/dandruff. I soaked her hair in coconut oil for two hours with a hat on her head. Then I took a fine comb and loosened the flakes before washing it with aveeno baby shampoo. When you shampoo it use a soft bristle baby brush to loosen the flakes more. Rinse it out and use your fine comb again. I did this routine once a day for two days and it was all gone

Also with this method she lost very little hair. Some babies lose a lot so I was grateful it worked.

@crystalhealing, that’s basically what I was doing too but I wasn’t going it multiple times in a row...I’ll have to try it that way! He’s lost a tiny bit of hair but not much thankfully 🙏🏻
