Yup. I’m 20 weeks now but I also mentioned the itching to my ob and my history with cholestasis and she said no it can’t be that it’s too early in my pregnancy so I haven’t brought it up again, but this Friday I have another appointment and I’m going to insist that she does blood work because I need to know so I can try to be as comfortable as possible. The last time I had this I was pregnant from late August to April so I kinda skipped the really hot summer months and I was still hot itchy and bitchy. I can only imagine what this summer is going to be like if I do have cholestasis again.

@bellyfullofbaby, lmfaoooo I feel so bad I’m srry I’m laughing but I’m imagining it , it’s so fckn miserable cus it’s like the itch is inside under the skin basically how far along r u now if u don’t mind me asking I started with the itchying earlier this time but my ob was ignoring me telling me it was my weight asta que I called there manager n I was right my levels were sky high 85 for bile n the rest were in the 600s but I try n use nair to remove all hair to avoid the itchynes

Yes she had jaundice it was not too bad though they just kept testing her until it cleared enough. I had to wear cotton tops only and sports bras to be comfy and leggings were uncomfortable if they were too tight too omg i really hope I test negative for it this time I just started itching after my first trimester and I’m already taking that damn brush everywhere 😖

@bellyfullofbaby, dang n was he jaundice or anything I was worried n I heard since it’s high risk some bbys measure small I had my son at 37 at 6 pounds n scared this bby will be less weight but that is crzy u had it the first not the second but the third have u got tested alrdy n hahahaha I have one of those thick ass brushes but my legs look horrible at least the scarring from all the scratches it sucks

@moniquerivera70, my baby was 6 lbs 2 oz she was born at 38 weeks I have started itching again this time I didn’t have that problem my second pregnancy but this is my third and I’m itchy all the time already. This is gross but I have a hair brush that scratches just right and I scratch my legs and arms until my skin feels hot and I go to sleep. I need that brush everywhere I go because my nails don’t satisfy my itching like my brush 😞

@anacort, I heard about some lotion that can maybe help but if gets worse I’d get tested for icp try Benadryl for itchying lol

@bellyfullofbaby, yes I think I thought the second time around it would be less intense but it’s god damn worse cus I gained weight swollen n itchying is a disaster but yeah they have u on urso but it doesn’t do shit lol I feel like a damn fin scratching everywhere how much did ur bby weigh at birth

@akita_mommy, dang if it continues I’d get my bile acid n alt n ast levels checked it takes about a week to get results

@babieswomacks, thnk u I had it my last pregnancy n got it again this pregnancy but I’m glad some ppl r ones to speak up I’ve talked to moms that nvr heard of icp n they’d go on in there pregnancy scratching thinking it’s nothing

Omg I had cholestasis and I was so miserable the itching gets worse towards the end and you can go into early labor from it. My itching went away the day after my csection but it was so bad towards the end I wasn’t sleeping. There is medication for it but it never helped me.

Have you told your dr about this?? If not you should call tomorrow. They might need to check you for ICP.

@akita_mommy, I have it on my ass some days but lately my arms n legs it gets worse after a shower I try n use cool water n throw lotion but nothing helps which frustrates me I also have cholestasis so I’m hoping I hurry up n get to my 37 mark .. do u always get the itchy

@akita_mommy, I alrdy popped a Benadryl but idk what else to do I might get the dam cheese grater lol
