Did sex cause you to go into labor, or progress at all? I’m NOT trying, and we haven’t had sex since 33 weeks for that reason. I ended up having unbearable pressure and Braxton Hicks afterwards. I know that semen can stimulate uterine contractions, I just wanted to hear some personal stories of whether they sent you into actual labor or just false labor contractions. I may let him get some after I hit 37, probably more like 38, weeks. IF I’m feeling up to it 😅

When I went to my 37 week appointment my water bag was bulging and she had no idea how it hadn’t broke yet. We went home and has sex and I had my baby that night. It’s deff possible even without a bulging water bag:)

Sex can help but only if your body is ready. Having sex won’t force your body to go into labor tho

Oh wow, so your cervix was open as well? Mine is still closed (as of last week) but we’ll find out if I’ve progressed any on Friday 🤷🏽♀️

@wild_flower94, Okay, so if my cervix was still closed then it probably wouldn’t be too much of a risk? Idk, I don’t want to go into labor too soon so I feel like I’d be chancing it.

@babyjjsmommy, unless your doctor instructed you to not have sex for some reason you’re totally good to have sex and you should because it can relieve stress

@tinyhumansbitch, oh wow, well I was still closed as of last Thursday so hopefully it’s the same when I go Friday 🤷🏽♀️ I didn’t dilate with my son up until the end of week 38 and it was just barely a 1, which I stayed at until I went into labor at 40 weeks 😅

@tinyhumansbitch, exactly! And that’s true, you can be dilated for weeks and not go into labor, but your body was ready I guess! Lol
