When did you start adding cereal to the baby bottle?
Like the ladies mentioned it’s a choking hazard and also rice cereal has no nutritional value and babies should have no solids before 6 months. And as for trying to keep the baby full longer there’s no need they are babies they’re tummy is tiny it’s only meant for them to have a little bit of milk and get hungry again and want to eat again. A baby will sleep as long as they need and will wake up when they need to feed or have their diaper changed etc etc. The only time you need to add cereal to a babies bottle is when the doctor advices you to due to like acid reflux for example
Definitely not recommended anymore unless the baby is puking up entire bottles AND dr says it’s necessary.
Your 1 month old cannot digest cereal at that age, it will just cause issues. Most babies that age aren’t going to sleep longer than 4 hours, it’s normal they not only need their formula for food but also to stay hydrated. It’s bad for them to go longer.
@nomli, oh my ... i never knew that . I thought it just helped them feel fuller longer so they could sleep longer
Yep, it's a choking hazard. Babies also shouldn't have any solids until 6 months
Our doctor told us it was a choking hazard and could lead to overfeeding, so we didn't even try.
@natasha_penney, I’m glad I asked too
