Well I do have endometriosis. He said if the pain gets too bad than I have a choice between hormone treatments or surgery to get the bump things lasered off. If I get them lasered off and they come back than I'd have to get a hysterectomy later on (hopefully not until I'm atleast 30). But the hormone treatment isn't a garuntee. I could end up having to get them lasered off anyway so I'm thinking in a few months if my periods are still super painful than I'm gonna go ahead and get them lasered off.

Oh man sorry to hear that. I can relate in a way to very painful periods. Before I had my first son I had very painful cramps the first or second day of my period. I'm pretty sure its not endometriosis but never been checked. The only thing that fixed it was being on birth control pills. Then after my son I only had one episode then never had it again . It was weird how it just stopped. Only thing is now, my periods got waaaaay heavier since having kids. It's horrible. Did they recommend you try birth control pills to help?

@ladyfreyja I've tried them but I got my tubes tied so I don't have to be on bc anymore. It sucks but even on bc my periods have been horrible since I got them

My sister was told today she has to have a. Hysterectomy because she also has endometriosis pretty, she's only 32

Awe I'm sorry. Hopefully you don't. 30 is still very, very, very young to start menopause smh... My bff has endometriosis but she's still popping out babies lol

I have endo & a hysterectomy is considered a last resort. I’ve had mine cauterized off & they eventually returned. I recently (2.5 weeks ago) had an endometrial ablation. 95% of women don’t get a period for 5 yrs & those that do it’s extremely light. The endometrium will eventually grow back though. My dr told me he suspects I have adenomyosis in addition but you can only find that out once you have a hysterectomy but I didn’t want to have such an evasive surgery right now.
FYI you only go through medically induced menopause if you have your ovaries removed as well.

The pain won’t go away until you have them removed unfortunately, the depo prevea helps a lot once it’s removed. I know you don’t wanna be back on bc but it does help. I have endo and it gets super painful especially taking care of kids it’s hard I’ve had it removed 3.5 years ago and it’s now coming back after 2 kids.. and most days I’m miserable

@tiffanyxbrooks when I had my tubes tied the dr seen spots on my uterus and then did a biopsy

@momof2gs... Well that's good to know bc I was really going to feel bad if @momma2twinies had to go through that as well. My mom had a full hysterectomy about 7 yrs ago and I felt so bad for her. Those hot flashes are no joke! Well @ momma2twinies hun I'm praying for you. All will work out!
