I’m quite annoyed and not impressed with this new doctor, first I get told by my old doctor that I have gestational diabetes ok so now she doesn’t want to deal with me sends me to a new doctor who tells me my baby’s going to die... um what? She then makes me go for a non stress test I pass everything’s fine. After saying I’d like to try to control my diabetes naturally because I can not afford insulin she doesn’t contact me at all but still sends a prescription to the diabetes clinic in the city. Then I get a call today scheduling me another non stress test? And the diabetes clinic is saying I have to come in and do the insulin, when I ask them how am I to pay for it they say I have to figure it out.. ( sure just let me bend over and you can pull the money from my ass) secondly I can barely change the needle in my pen to test the blood sugar levels so unless a nurse is willing to come 20km out of town to my house then I don’t know how I’m expected to take insulin. I have never felt more healthy in my life so why are they using scare tactics and not fully explaining things to me? Unless they are seeing things in my ultrasound and not telling me. June can’t come fast enough I just want my baby and to never deal with those doctors again!
This sounds absolutely horrendous and unprofessional. Sorry you have to deal with such obnoxious asshats. They should be taking the time to fully explain everything and answer any questions you have. Hope you get some answers and explanations!
Oh that's good! I felt so bad thinking your baby could die from not getting insulin, can't even imagine be told that by a dr
@nikkielkins29, thanks, the dietitian told me this afternoon that because I’m so far a long they would give it to me for free
@kerstie14, I will have to ask thanks, I don’t want to take insulin honestly I hate just poking my finger with the needle
Are there any emergency services you can access to help pay for the insulin?
Have they offered you the pill to control your sugar? That’s what I did when trying to control them naturally didn’t work. Insulin was a last result for my dr and me and I did well with the pill. It wasn’t too expensive for generic.
Pretty upset at my OB Doctor considering she had said that since I was overweight she is going to assume I have gestational diabetes. And she wants me to deliver at a hospital farther away from my house. 😒 I'm barely even overweight.
TWW!!
2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!
i dont have preeclampsia but they think i got the diabetes but they didnt test me for it
Well today I got the call saying I failed my glucose test. It was so high they aren't even having me come in for the 3hour test. My Dr. is having me go to a gestational diabetic specialist, and I have to take some classes. My nurse said I for sure have it.... I'm trying not to stress, but it's gonna be hard! I'll have to change my way of eating and all that. :( But I'm trying to stay positive, I just want Isaac to be healthy!! <3
My doctor said he would induce my labor at 38 weeks, if my baby girl still had growth issues and if the percentile dropped to 10 or less. Last thursday, it was 10 percentile, and he said if she didn't come on her own by 38 weeks, he would induce labor at that time. I'm 36 weeks 1 day today, he said my cervix was super thin, and 1cm dilated. Is there a possibility this can change... that my doctor will let her just come on her own? I don't want to be induced, i would much rather her come on her ...
@jenn_14_m, thank you! I have a list of questions for her and I’m not leaving until they are answered
