SECOND time (or more) moms: question for ya - how was the second labor compared to the first? Faster? Slower? More or less pushing? Etc. I had a really easy first birth with an epidural but I’m planning on going natural this time. I was in active labor for 8-9 hours and I just sat there because I didn’t feel anything from the epidural and then I pushed for only 20 minutes. Guess I’m getting a little paranoid that I won’t make it to the hospital depending on where I’m at, lol.
@dpushknockx, very true! I didn’t expect this last one to be so hard but if I had it to do over I probably wouldn’t have been induced! I just didn’t want to have a big baby and have to end up having a csection or something but it was bad and they turned my epidural off so I felt most of it and pushed for like 2 hours! 😩 but yes it’s all different for everyone. It’s nice to get some comparisons tho
@lesleyandjustinsimpson, wow!! So literally it just doesn’t matter. Every pregnancy and labor is just different. You can have 20 kids and the last one may be the hardest haha
1st 19 hours 2nd 12 hours barely pushed and he was out 3rd 32 hours of excruciating pain!! WTF
My second was traumatizing.. he got stuck, so I ended up pushing for, no joke, 5 hours!! My first was a breeze. I had the epidural, but it wasn’t as effective as with my first. I couldn’t feel anything w my first, my second.. I could still move my legs and they just felt like they were slightly numb. The doctors had to help me w the delivery by using the clamps to help pull my baby out. Needless to say.. I was glad it was over.
for me it was easier and so much faster after each kid
Slower, labor time was the same, but when it came to pushing, I only pushed for 14 minutes with my first, I pushed for an hour with my second. I had an epidural with both, my 3rd and 4th labor and delivery went quicker, same with epidural.
My first labor was 12 hours, second was 12 and a half and third was 2 days 🤦🏻♀️
@mammablackbear, why was recovery better? I don’t remember much but I don’t remember being in pain long!
My first baby (42wks) I was admitted at 4am had baby at 10am (with epi). Second baby (41wks) I was admitted at 1am had baby at 6am (epi wore off), and third baby(39wks), was admitted at 3am had baby before noon. They gave me oxytocin because I wasn't progressing fast enough. In hindsight I would have denied it, but whatever. No epi, just some IV drugs which got cut off half way though the whole deal.
Recovery was 500000x better without epidural.
My 1st I had a 12 hr total labor 40+3 with my 1st, had an epidural and she crowned on her own I pushed 2 or 3 times and she was out. My 2nd I had about 9 or 10 hr total labor I was Induced at 39+4 due to elevated bp. I had an epidural and she crowned on her own again and I pushed 2-3 times. So pretty similar.
Much faster & I had an epi with both
1st was 17 hours 2nd was 8 hours. Baby came out extremely quickly too which wasn't the case with my 1st
@dpushknockx, I think having your first baby is terrifying because you have no idea what to expect! The second time around, I had horrible anxiety going into it, but once I was actually at the hospital, I felt so much more confident because I knew what to expect and there was nothing surprising or unexpected like the first time around. You got this!
Ok geez I’m excited for it to be potentially faster but nervous even more now! Lol
Second labor was way faster (2 hours from start to finish) and I didn’t have time to get an epidural. Third time was also fast (four hours from start to finish) but I had time to get an epidural that time.
Faster ! Less pushing and no epidural :) it was easy! still painful but I knew how to breathe the second time around a lot better
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
the amount of women who are clueless about their own anatomy is so sad and shocking. a lot of the women are older than me and have more children then I do 😳
now I understand that everyone has their own opinion on the topic and grown adults can do whatever they want with their bodies but to deny facts and make up false statements about your own anatomy when it comes to your unborn child is just so disappointing.

So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.
Religion Conspiracy/Theory
**This is not to bash peoples religion and beliefs but to talk about our own theories and ideas** I would like to discuss a certain topic that came to mind after talking to my SO. I know some of you ladies like a good conspiracy talk so i would like to have a good discussion and hear thoughts of others. So back story my SO friends got very offended when he mentioned not believing in god or religion and it got me thinking. Is religion a failing form of goverment cont...
