So I had my usual check up today... My original plan was to have this baby vaginally, since I had my first via c-section. I remember laboring with my first for 20 hours and feeling so defeated when they told me I needed a c-section. I honestly don’t want to go through that again at all, so I just scheduled to have another c-section a week before my due date which would be June 14th. I’m happy with this decision but I can’t help but feel like I “took the easy way out.” I wanted to try for a VBAC but with all the complications with my first I don’t want to risk it again. I need some reassurance in my life that I’m doing the right thing. With this being planned it gives us a set date on when she will be here and how long we have to get all the things we need to get done, and it helps me determine my maternity leave as well. I’ve already been called a “wuss” and a “baby” because I opted for this plan and it’s seriously making me feel so bad about everything. 😩

I had a C-section with first......and no it's definitely not the easy way out. My aunt said that if she ever had another she would opt for one because she tore bad...but I warned her it's NOT easy. I tried vbac just cuz I don't have help and it was too hard on me to take care of house and a toddler and I don't want to be recovering for so long etc. It ended up going good. I wish you the best in your labour, however it goes....neither way is "easy".

My due date is June 19, but I'm having a scheduled C-section June 14th as well, but I've never had one so I'm freaking out. Screw anyone who says anything less than amazing about any woman bringing a child into this world, may that be vaginally or through their tummies! 🖕

@saraann, the people who are saying that obvs are being selfish then. Why should you put your self and your baby in danger !!

And having a csection takes time to heal and it takes a strong mama to deal with that pain and recovery..I had two csections and I’m almost 4 mons PP and I still have pain

Don’t feel bad at all..you are still a mom no matter how your baby comes out of your body. And my littlest sister bday is June 14th ❤️ PS: you may go into labor on your own and end up having a vaginal birth.

I have had one natural birth that did not go so well and 2 c-sections. I would take the sections over natural any day, but that's just me. Everyone is different and needs to do what works for them. It doesn't make you a wuss at all!

@saraann, Do it girl! 💪🏻 And it’s not cowardly to opt for one. A vaginal or csection is not an easy thing! The risk we take as well as the healing process that goes with it. Pfft! I dont know why women must put other women down. Like it does not make them look any better when they do that. They just seem bitter

@rndmshtt, See, that’s what I don’t want to do, I don’t want to labor for forever for them to just tell me I’m gonna need a csection. I’d rather just go in, knowing what I’m getting myself into, and have her that way. Giving birth is exhausting and painful whatever way you do it, but I’m opting for my repeat csection. I think it’s what’s gonna be best for me and my little babe.

@mamacheybb, I wasn’t dilating and she wasn’t descending, she was really high up still. That and my contractions were super close and lasted a long time and then they couldn’t find her heartbeat so they rushed me in for an emergency c-section.

Either way your not a wuss c section is much more difficult to recover from then vag birth so it’s more you took a harder rout yet safer if anything . You are out of commission for 3-4 weeks me I get home and can waddle around cook clean and do dishes after 24 hours . Don’t let people confuse you !! Do what is best for you and your baby !!

Who gives a flying F! Your body, your baby, your choice!!! I would use some not so kind words to anyone who called a c-section momma a wuss or a baby!! I've never had one but my friends and family have and theres nothing easy about bringing a baby into this world via csection or vaginal! Don't EVER let anyone make you feel less than!!! Yayy for June 14th!! You get to see your baby soon!!! & THAT is all that matters! A Healthy Baby 💗

Why did you have to have a csection last time ? What was the complication that lead to it ?

Birth Plan Rant I used to be all about getting an epidural, but after research and thinking about it more I want to have an unmedicated birth (this is my first baby). What annoys me is when I say that I'm going to TRY my hardest to have a natural and unmedicated birth people always feel the need to say that I'm crazy or that I'm going to change my mind when I get in that position. Or that epidurals are the best. I do realize that plans change, but why can't people be supportive and encouraging?

Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no, his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me and did something else with an other girl.... and it's 10:51 am now and he hasn't texted me at all. and after he dropped me off I texted him saying what I felt and nothing. I don't know if I'm over reacting or what or what should i do. do i wait until he text me?

Any 1st time moms who had a c-section? My due date is Wednesday. At my Dr appt today, my Dr said I'm not dilated at all. My baby has been measuring big all along, and my Dr now estimates he is about 9.5lbs and doesn't think I can deliver him naturally... so she scheduled me for a c-section on Thursday. This is my 1st baby, and I really don't know how to feel about it all.
