Do contractions feel like period cramps??? Like the pain is literally a little higher up then my vagina, and my lower back, I've been having them since yesterday every certain minutes like about 20 but they won't get stronger... what can it be? I also do feel my baby at the bottom already my stomach totally dropped I'm due May 15th so do you guys think she might be here earlier? Or maybe just false alarm?
@mommy_tojay, if so I’d go to L&D as soon as possible
@nicolealison I don't think I'll make it to my next appointment I feel like I'm getting contractions already it might be time...
@mommy_tojay, I would think you have some time but if you WANT the baby to come I’d recommend getting your membrane swept at your next appointment (I did at 39 weeks had her next day) if your doctor will do it.
Do you know if you lost your plug? (I didn’t know I lost mine I went in at 38 weeks and they told me it was gone 🤷🏻♀️) id ask at your next appointment if you’re dilated at all, if you’re thinned out and what the baby’s station is :P (these are questions you only learn once you had the baby, go figure haha)
@nicolealison last time she checked she didn't mention anything about being dilated she said it was still closed or something like that but every since yesterday I've been feeling them, maybe it's a false alarm but I'm starting to doubt they might be contractions now
@mommy_tojay, Don't be scared! With your 1st most women aren't likely to have fast deliveries. Labor is typically hours and pretty intense (unless you get an epi, I love those 🤣) like nicolealison said it could be braxton's, near the end they dont compare to real contractions BUT they are uncomfortable no doubt!
@mommy_tojay, do they go away if you move? They may be Braxton Hicks which is really common just your body practicing
Have you had your cervix checked at your last appointment? Did they tell you how thinned out your cervix was or if you were dilated?
At 38 weeks with my first I was 100% thinned and 2 cm already and she came at 39 weeks after a membrane sweep
@nicolealison they aren't as bad, my doctor does see me every week, expect now my appointment is until Thursday ... and I think this baby is almost coming! They do make me stop from what I'm doing I can tell you that!!! Just wish me luck lol
You should be seeing tour doctor once a week now I’d ask at next appointment. As far as what contractions feel like... they feel like your insides are ripping apart haha you’ll be walking and be stopped in your tracks or be brought to your knees (at least when your in labor) early labor contractions aren’t as bad but still take your breath away :P
@hollyn216 I think I am having contractions but not hard enough yet to get to the hospital, do these help to have my baby faster To? A normal fast delivery? In so scared honestly
With 1st baby my water broke at 38 weeks anything can happen!! Definitely worth someone checking! If you want to help induce/speed up dilation have sex and make sure he leaves his sperm! Totally worked for us 🤷🏽♀️
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Yess that's what my doctor said she says when they're 5 minutes apart cause if I'm not dilated enough they'll send me back and it's worse so I'm trying my best rn, they aren't that close but they do take my breath away lol pretty painful
