Anyone with 2 or 2.5 month olds are your little ones already focusing on objects and practicing hand and eye coordination? What about mimicking sounds or words? My baby love has been mimicking "HI" for about a month now no it isn't a fluke or a one time thing we say hi everyday a few times a day. She has also noticed her hands and sees that her fingers can move. She has been focusing on objects and concentrating to get her hand to the object these past 2 days...

Honey...your 1 month old baby girl doesn’t and didn’t know how to say hi.
Now her vision? Totally possible for that to greatly improve by 3 months.

@mommynes, she’s just mimicking her, she doesn’t know what she’s actually saying and it’s totally possible, Oliver would mimick simple sounds when he was at that age.
@lilmz209, yeah, Oliver would stare at his hands all amazed 😂 it’s so cute when they discover new things

@andreamichelle87 she does it daily.... I talk to her a lot.... you say HI she does it back everytime its hilarious.... obviously she's not talking yet, so she doesn't understand what HI actually is and I am not saying first words or talking...I guess some people do not understand mimicking and they probably don't speak to their newborns.... but it is pretty funny how she has just realized her hands and fingers and shes focusing on making them work and go where she wants them to go so she can grab things....

@mommynes mimicking is not talking....it is very possible for a 1 month old to mimic back the sound of small words like Hi and Why, no etc. She obviously doesn't know what hi means and in no way shape or form did I say shes TALKING or learned her FIRST WORD.... but by me telling her HI since birth and all throughout each day she has caught on to the sounds and mimics that back :) you don't have to believe it

Oh ok

Nah, I never talked to my kids. Still don’t. I run from them when I see them.

@mommynes not EVERYONE talks to their newborn hunny....some baby talk to them as well...I said speaking and talking to a newborn
Heidi ·
@mommynes I speak to my newborn as I do my bigger children and guess what she interacts with us by mimicking and yup since 1 month old :) and its definitely not unheard of... just individuals who wish to take things out of context and say that is not what's happening...maybe not for you and that's fine ;) our children are obviously different....

Cool! Like I said, I don’t talk to mine 🤷🏻♀️

@mommynes yuppp!
