I just can’t win tonight! Was going to make Eliana a bottle and dropped the cereal bent down to pick it up forgetting I had an open bottle with formula in it and the bottle spilled all in my carpet 🤦🏻♀️ And before anyone adds any smart comments... yes I put cereal in my almost 4 month olds bottles! No it’s not to make her “sleep longer” but to help with her reflux! If you don’t like it just keep scrolling 🤷🏻♀️
@mommytotheo, I’m really glad it helps him!! ❤️ it’s always great once they get over it
@mommy_x3 ours told us to start at 4 months because of it and it really helps
@mommytotheo, yeah they sometimes recommend it a little sooner for reflux so it’s not just fluids in their belly is what my kids pedi told me..
@mommy_x3. Hopefully depending on soilds more helps her. Our pedi said it helps most reflux babies
@mommytotheo, thanks!! I’m glad he’s found something that helps his.. that’s what I’m thinking when she’s able to start more solids she’ll be fine!!
I hope she outgrown it soon. Its terrible Theo still has weight problems cause of his. He didn't do good on the medicine either. I'm glad the cereal helps her! It made him worse he can't even eat cereal when mixed with baby food. Baby food is what has helped Theo with his so maybe when she starts eating baby food it will help hers to
@maesmommy04, I’ve been thinking about getting one of those or a rock n play! But if she has a bad night she sleeps in her swing at the moment..
@mommy_x3 poor baby :( Diana's Bobby pillow was a lifesaver. We propped her up in it after a cereal bottle and it seemed to help her
Thank you! And that’s sad 😕 Eliana’s doctor said she’s surprised she weighs as much as she does lol cause hers is pretty bad!
@mommy_x3 it definitely is! I hope yours outgrow it soon! My stepfather has seen babies with it so bad they couldn't keep weight on :(
@maesmommy04, that’s great!! I’m glad she got over it quick cause it’s hell for them 😔
@chasha2017, some women come with their opinions but don’t even know half of the situation... figured I would get some rude comments about it lol idc what they think just don’t want the negativity on my post
@sunflowerfields, they just think they know it all. It’s nothing wrong with it if ur baby dr feel it’s best for ur baby. Who cares what anyone else feels.
@mommy_x3 yeah around six months I'd say if when she grew out of it. About the same time she was able to switch from soy formula as well.
You don't need to explain why u give your baby cereal. Its your baby, so fck their opinions. 💁🏽♀️
@maesmommy04, aww poor girl! Has she grown out of her reflux yet?
@sunflowerfields, I don’t know, I don’t see a problem with it.. but to each their own lol
@mommy_x3 my girls meds ended up just making her sick. So I agree 💯
@maesmommy04, yeah not even her medicine gives her relief from it, so if the cereal helps I’m going to do it so my baby doesn’t have to be in as much pain..
@sunflowerfields, 🤷🏻♀️ it was recommended by her pediatrician!
@beesknees, it was recommended with 2 of my children by their pedi... I don’t do it for selfish reasons I do it to give my daughter some relief 🤷🏻♀️
@beesknees, I’ve tried pace feeding with her but after a while she would just get irritated 👎🏻
@mommy_x3 I'm sorry! I hated my girl having it. She was miserable until her doctor recommended it. The cereal ended up making my girl so chunky! Better a fat baby than a sick one lol
@mommy_x3. It can be a choking hazard since the flow comes so fast. And rice cereal is overall shit for babies, if I'm being completely honest.
@maesmommy04, I had to do it with her brother as well due to reflux!
@corasmommy12517, it helps Eliana with her reflux... but I only use it like every other bottle! Some days though nothing helps her 😕
I've never formula fed my babies, but I've nannied dozens of babies and always did paced feedings regardless of bm of formula. Not that you are asking for advice, but maybe paced feedings would help a bit?
@mommy_x3, girl it was terrible I cried because I was so tired
Yeah I had to do that with my daughter. Thankful my son doesn't have to.
@tyshaijames2018, thank you! And I can imagine you was, colic is terrible 😐
Yeah the dr said it helps with reflux I tried it with my son when he was a baby but he had colic and it didn’t help I was so miserable 😔
When can i put cereal in my sons night bottle?
So I just found out that my husband is sleeping with my sister and they are making fun of me.
FTM problems...
So I've made it pretty clear that I want to buy my daughter her fist Halloween costume. Her babysitter/nanny keeps saying she wanted to make her one. I told her yesterday that I wanted to find her something that my SO and I could dress up as a family. So I told her I am going to get it. She just text me and said 'not trying to step on your toes but I bought her two costumes'. She does this all the time. Anytime I want to do the "first" things with her she immediately does it. It...
Is it to early to give my baby a half teaspoon of cereal in her bottle???
My baby is still on the size bottles that you get in hospital because the tete on the tommee tippee bottles (and any other bottle) is too big for her... but i think I need to get her on the normal bottles now but is she still to small? She’s just over 6 pounds 🤔...
Or what is everyone else using to bottle feed baby at about that weight ?
@sunflowerfields, they just think they know it all. It’s nothing wrong with it if ur baby dr feel it’s best for ur baby. Who cares what anyone else feels.
