Pretty sure they signed a non disclosure agreement before it was announced that Alt12 apps were closing. And I’m sure it wasn’t up to the mods. Honest Co probably didn’t know what they were getting into when they bought the apps. I’m sure they will try a different style app in the future to try to regain customers that will never buy their products, due to the shut down.
I tried to research it lol. I read about the couple who created the app and how they got quite a bit of money for the start up (over a million). They sold to Honest, but the couple kept running the app as the engineer and something else. Honest quit charging for the apps (it was a small fee for it at one point & I vaguely remember being able to upgrade on B.B. if I wanted). I think it not generating income (as they never did advertising on it either) and the fact that it didn’t pan out with their future marketing, that they deciding it wasn’t worth it anymore. That’s just what I think. Why keep spending on something that isn’t generating income, but they had all the damn opportunity in the world to utilize it and profit from it.
I paid for the pro version awhile back. Before that, there were ads on the app. I always wondered why they decided to make it free lol. I’m sure that’s why it’s shutting down.

I want to know why too though but like ray said it's probably going to be a new app through honest company.

I totally would have paid for it or had a small ad running at the bottom if it meant keeping it running.
