So I recently saw a post about car seat safety and the comments mentioned changing the fabric is unsafe. Can someone explain this to me? I have never heard this and was wanting to change out the hand me down car seat to a newer thing to match his theme. O.o Google isn't being very informative.
When should I change to a high back booster? So my son is 5&1/2 years old and about 55lbs. He still in a 5 point harness car seat. When should I change him to the high back booster seat? I have the graco 3 in one seat.

I am so incredibly grateful for my best friend. Last night she and I were in a car accident. I was driving and we got hit by a student driver. My car is totaled, I had to come out of pocket for a rental car. Both of my kids car seats were in the car and I’ve been stressing on how to buy new seats for them, she just told me that her and her husband bought us new car seats. I can’t stop crying.
Always amazed At the amount of seats that come into seat checks totally wrong. I did roughly 30 checks today and only 4 were right! Lots of babies are now safer in the car!
I can’t wait to put my son forward facing in his car seat 👌🏼four more days

@santistevanmommie oh wow I didn't know that at all. I guess Imma stick with the cover that's on it. It's just the back up my parents use anyways.

Those after market seat covers aren’t tested with the car seat, therefore could interfere with the way the straps fit on baby. That could cause the seat to fail in an accident and not protect babe correctly.
Also they aren’t flame retardant like the ones that come with the seat.
That being said, you can call the maker of the seat you have and order a cover that is for your seat and is tested with it.
