How do u know if u have it one of my breast is hurting like a bruise and i have the chills body aches and heacdache no redness?

At least not that i can see my temp os 103.4

@mommybear164, that sounds exactly like it. I didn’t get redness until the second day. Definitely go get checked. And massage and pump/feed a TON

@mommybear164, take Tylenol! That helped sooooo much with the fever and the body aches.

The second day was horrific and I thought I wouldn’t make it. But day three now and I’m feeling so much better. Still have a headache and the lump in my boob. I’m on antibiotics

@mom_of_3_boys, that must have been so scary! This was the worst pain I’ve ever been in, I can’t imagine it being any worse, I’m so sorry!

It truly was I was hospitalized for 6 days. I went septic and came home with an incision on my breast and had a home health nurse come to my house for 2 weeks. It was the worst pain in my life and so scary.

@mom_of_3_boys, oh my gosh! I’m so sorry you went through that. How are you feeling now?

@conniedearest.bb thank you. I'm much better now my incision is completely closed so I've been discharged by th nurse and surgeon. I still get a little pain but mot bad and can't wear a bra for long. I have to get another ultrasound in 5 months to make sure infection isn't coming back.

Ive had the fever since yesterday afternoon and oh man ok i had my husband buy me some

@mommybear164, I definitely suggest going to the doctor for antibiotics. I started feeling better within 24 hours of starting them!

@mom_of_3_boys, I’m so glad you’re all healed up. I hope your follow up ultrasound goes well.

are you still able to breastfeed? I’m seriously so scared of this happening again, if my daughter didn’t refuse all bottles, I’d probably stop. I never want to feel that way again

@conniedearest.bb I'm not I was too afraid of the pain since it was so bad and terrified of the infection coming back. They offered the pump at the hospital and I said no. I was also on antibiotics once I got out for 14 days so I would have pump and dump for a total of 3 weeks and sanitize all parts after every use. When I breastfed him the pain was horrible and radiated to my back to the point it would go stiff and would make me cry. I was relieved that he didn't get the infection passed to him and didn't want to risk it.
