Basement flooded
Wtf guys we had a really hot day yesterday so we had a little pool for the kids set up out front. Well my husband left for work this am and our basement is all flooded out. The kids play room in the basement that just got done about a year ago is ruined!! Carpets soaked and drywall a mess. Looks like we are going to have to redo the whole room. Luckily it’s small enough that it shouldn’t cost too much. But then we have to fix the pipes!! Fack my life right now. That’s exactly what I wanted to wake up to!!! Ugh good morning ladies

I was gonna say, my husbands a plumber. And hes hot, so if you lived close, he could have helped.
@crapbag, well we got the bill from the guys who dried it out. That was like 709 bucks. My brother in law is a plumber so he fixed the pipe for free!! So that’s a plus. Lost only a few toys that my kids don’t even play with anymore so that’s ok too!!
Geez, what a freaking nightmare. Sorry mama. Hope its not too much to repair.
Yea they came today but have to leave the fans for one more day to dry out the walls. Carpets is order dry @mimzof3,
@mimzof3, well I just went down there and it seems to be drying out very well. There’s no smell. Luckily they are only cheap carpet tiles with a little padding underneath and they are on concrete. So they seem to be dry now

@danniijohn, well luckily they haven’t been playing down there too much so most of the toys have made their way upstairs lol. Don’t even know how much it’s going to cost. My bil is fixing the pipe for us now. But the professional cleaners haven’t billed us yet because they aren’t done!! So annoying when things like this happen
@ss3mom I'm so sorry this is how your day went, that sucks big time! I hope it's not too much money to fix and the boys haven't lost too much of their toys and furniture down there
@mkp1234, omg my basement play room is a hot mess right now!! My husband had a company some in to clean up the water now we have like 4 industrial sizes fans blowing in the room. What a freaking mess this is. Not to mention the dry wall had to be removed to get to the leak. Luckily mi brother in law is a plumber so he’s coming over soon to check it out!!
Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear this. We are doing basement Reno’s and it’s nightmare: I can’t imagine about fixing flooding. I hope you can get it sorted soon!

@moski, yea I’m trying but the carpet is literally sopping wet!! Like squishing under my feet. Luckily the kids don’t play down there too much. But there’s some things that will need to be thrown away. I have to get my ass down there and start going through everything. It’s such a mess
Aww no! That stinks! I hope everything works out.. replacing carpet and drywall isn't too bad but the pipes tho.. 😩 I'm sorry hon!

Ugh I know!! Now I have to empty the room and we have people coming to hopefully dry out the carpet and then someone to check the pipes. Then someone else to check the drywall!! Not exactly what I had in mind for the day but that’s what I’m going to be doing today!!
Trigger. Lost baby
Went in for my 20 week check up and found out our son had passed away. Nothing was wrong, my pregnancy has been going great. I'm so numb right now. I'll he delivering him later this week. I don't want to do this. I don't want to do this. Not before Christmas. How am I'm going to tell my kids?? My dear sweet baby boy. Why did this happen?
Gone overboard with the Xmas gifts again this year. I had to kick my step son out of the guest room to store all the boxes to hide from him and the kids and needless to say he is less than thrilled 😂 at least we have comfy couches 😌
I wish I had friends that I could go out with and take our kids out to play or aquariums or something lol me and my kids are always in the house.. It would be nice to go out sometimes 😆
