So do contractions really feel like period cramps? Because I've been crampy literally all day and it's been constant and doesn't go away so if that's true how would I know if it's contractions because its in the lower part of my body?
You should go in. I didn’t even feel my contractions until my water broke, and by then it would have been to late to make it in! Luckily I was already in the hospital- I only knew I was having (strong) contractions because of the machine they hook you up to.
@snookster1644 Lol Yeah I had no idea they could feel different ways...I just figured it always felt the same. With my 1st they felt more like menstrual cramps but I could tell they were contractions bc they were regular. But I see people say to others, "Oh you will just know." And I'm like oh really bc I didn't with my 2nd pregnancy. Lol But my 1st & 3rd I knew right away.
@lifeisgood2me lol I was induced with my first so I'm definitely not used to feeling them naturally and I've had no idea what they feel like. I was in the hospital a few days ago and the machine picked up contractions but I didn't even feel it at all so I felt like an idiot because I asked what they feel like and the dr said looked at me like "you didn't even feel that because those were contractions?" Lol
I've had 3 children and my contractions felt completely different with each labor. With my 2nd child I went in for my check up a couple days after my due date. After everything the doctor comes in and he's like so you're having contractions 3 minutes apart and you're 3 centimeters dilated! I was like really?! Can you have contractions and not even know it! 😂😂😂 I felt so stupid. Lol

Your stomach gets tight and hard it looks like your baby is getting pushed to the front of your belly. You get a pressure feeling in your belly it hurts. It isnt a constant pain it comes and goes.
