I had a very frustrating day. I went to see my doctor today about my losses. He was less than helpful. He didn't listen to me, tried to tell me chemical pregnancies don't actually exist, and that I had multiple false positives because apparently that's a thing. So for two months in a row, across several brands of tests, I managed to get about a dozen faulty ones. Wtf?

I'm so frustrated. I strongly believe that my body is not producing enough progesterone and that's why my pregnancies are failing. I was on prescribed progesterone for my second and third child, so why is it out of the question this could be my problem. I'm getting pregnant, my body just won't support the pregnancy.

He told me there's nothing he can test for, no way to know why this is happening. How can that be? I know my cycle inside and out. I know when something is wrong. I knew something was wrong in November before I ever went to the doctor. I had a nagging feeling that something just wasn't right. No reason to feel that way, but I did. And it was my first miscarriage. With my chemicals, I didn't get excited because I knew, somehow, that it wouldn't be going far. That's why I tested so obsessively.

I so wanted to get some sort of answer today, or at least the assurance that I'm not crazy and that we would work through this and figure out what is going on with my body. Instead, I'm left angry and hurt, thinking that no one will ever listen and I'll never be lucky enough to carry and deliver another child. Today was a bad day.

@lilin_13 thanks for the info and advice!

I made an appointment with a different doctor, and she has great reviews for working with couples ttc. I go next Thursday so not too long of a wait either. Hopefully she'll be more willing to help me out!

A RE would definitely be best. They do a ton of blood work and come up with a plan.

Use the cream as directed, 1/4 tsp twice a day. I always put it on my tummy between the navel and hair line, or my boobs. It's best to start at ovulation and continue until your period starts or you hopefully get a positive, until 12w

@lilin_13 Thank you! I'm going to look into a Reproductive Endocrinologist asap. If I must go the cream route, would I use it as directed on the bottle? Would I start when I got a positive test or at ovulation?

Time for a new doc, I'd see a Reproductive Endocrinologist, as you've had multiple losses. Also, try using NPC, Natural Progesterone Cream, if they won't prescribe you anything. I suggest Source Naturals or Pro-Gest. Use it til 12w, but start lowering amount around 11w, to wean off.

Thanks guys. I definitely plan on finding a new doctor. I go to a teaching hospital and there are many doctors there but he really soured me on all of them. I've loved everyone I've seen until now. If nothing else I want a second opinion. It was just so strange how adamant he was that there was nothing to do about it. I'm feeling defeated tonight, but tomorrow is a new day and hopefully I can find someone to truly listen to me.

I'm so sorry to hear about your experience today. Seems like it's time to find a more compassionate doctor who is willing to work with you.
