Technically all dogs are made to hunt and kill prey so any dog is dangerous not just a pit
Yes say it louder for the people in the back! My pity loves my baby and is so productive of him. Its how the dog is raised not the breed. My pit loves everyone and greets everyone with kisses
It's they way they are brought up I fully believe that my neighbor and mom both pen s pit bull. They're both the nicest dogs
It's not a breed issue it's a training and inbreeding issue. If the dog is inbred it can cause mental issues and aggression no.matter the breed. If they are trained to be aggressive they will be, no matter the breed. Pits are some of the sweetest. My 5 yr old always wants to pet dogs she sees and if we see a pit and she asks the owner I let her pet the dog. Worst that happens I she gets licked in the face lol
I'll agree they are stronger and because many owners feel pressured to keep them away from others they too become afraid. I met one that was afraid of little dogs because she had been attacked by a Chihuahua. But I love them and anytime I meet one they seem to know I love them. Big babies that just want to cuddle.
I’m going to be unpopular with this opinion but my issue is not that they are more aggressive but that they are so strong that IF they did snap on a child I could not physically stop it unless maybe I stabbed the dog to death and by then a lot of damage has been done to my child if they haven’t been killed. If my Boston terrier snapped in my child I could easily grab him and stop it.
@bbyzvcy18... That's going to be my next dog.. I'm gonna wait until the girls start school though! Cane Corso's are so freaking hot lol! I'm sure mines will be sweet but I'm gonna say stay back everybody lol!!!
Right! I don't fool with them hehehe! I felt bad after I laughed to smh..
@kelley.blue lmao!!! I have the biggest cat phobia so this comment made me LOL!!!!
I loveeee dogs too!
My sister has a Cane Corso, so when her neighbors saw him they gave her a frightened look and asked if it was a Pit. She said no and so they had a sigh of relief look on their face ending with a big smile at her dog.
Lmao, if anyone knows what a Cane Corso is they would know that they are double the size of a Pit, used for hunting BEARS, only adjust to one owner, very powerful and strong dogs and are very protective guard dogs.
Lol, its funny how people judge Pits. IF either one was to do damages the Cane Corso would def rip your arm of in one snap. Never judge a book by its cover!
I have three red nose pits and they wouldn’t bite a fly. They are the biggest babies. But to each their own.
I’m much more worried about a taco dog biting me then pits there so loving of you take care of them and don’t try to hit them wth a stick 🙄 some people complain when their kids get bit but let hem hit he animal
My pit is the sweetest he always wants to play with every dog and person he sees but they'll run away from him because of his breed. Hes the sweetest most loyal dog I know. They get a bad rap to because they are scared of every thing well mine is at least. He hates storms, he gets scared when you sneeze to loud. He sleeps in the bed with my mom every night. We've had him for 5 years and he's never bit of lunged at anyone
@sherrynygirl.. That made me think of those shows on Animal Planet with the violent cats lol!
@kelley.blue Being a Groomer I've seen a cat attack a groomer and not let go of its arm with the teeth in the skin horrible.... dog's no matter the breed will let go a cat hold s on it the lion/tiger instinct
💯 agree ! I'm A Professional Pet groomer for 19 yrs....a yorkie.lhasa ..will bite you faster ..than a pit bull.In Miami Dade county in South Florida where I live they are banned...Many still have them.We have a few as clients and they are sweethearts...#1 any animal can and will be bite especially in a stressful environment.I always say train the owner's too not just the Dog's.
@mommynmotion... I totally understand where you are coming from. My rottweiler bit me bc I was reaching for his food while he was eating, that's why I want to wait until they are a little older BUT you could put your hand in the Staffy's bowl while he was eating! So how they are trained definitely makes a difference. I wouldn't judge ppl either way bc I love dogs so much 😍😍😍😍. And bottom line for me is that I want a protector dog lol!
I just HATE that I’m a “bad mom” because I have a pit bull.... I HATE the looks and snatching their dogs and running in fear I get when we go to the dog park... I don’t see a Breed I see my sweet loving baby that I rescued from a coal mine and who cuddles me and the children everyday I don’t see pit🤷🏽♀️
@kelley.blue, your smart then pick what dog suites your life style. A house cat eats rodents and bugs a lion will take down a whole damn zebra... same difference these are animals from the wild kingdom lol we are taking them and putting them in our homes.

I won't argue with the fact that they could all be dangerous. I'm a dog lover 100%... I owned a rottweiler and a staffy that was a show dog that came from a champion and grand champion so I definitely am not oppose to having either of those breeds when my children get a little older. But I certainly don't feel that my cavalier spaniel "could" do the same harm as my rottweiler would've. So for me, it's more of the significance of danger that the animal can cause oppose to it being dangerous overall. I feel like a big dog would cause more of a deadly harm than a smaller breed dog... Even though I know that a little dog would probably get ticked off faster lol! But I loved my staffy, I just want my girls to be bigger so they'll have a better understanding of how to handle the dogs. We have a spaniel now and they are so rough with the poor dog!
People that don’t like pit bulls because they’re “naturally more aggressive” tick me off!! That’s not even a real thing pitties are some of the most loyal and sweetest dogs I’ve ever met and the only reason they’d turn out aggressive is because of the owner or bad experiences in they’re past. And even then they can be rehabilitated like any other dog
Family friendly guard dogs?
Which are the best? We were planning on getting a new dog but after reading that Peeping Tom post a few days ago, I now know it needs to be a good guard dog/protector of my babies!!
So my bf just beat the hell out of my dog and idk what to do now. I want to leave but don't have my paper yet to take my dog with me anywhere I go
Dog moms ?
Someone says that they got their hair done and a mani/pedi for Mother's Day. They don't have any children and it was a gift from her dog. She also says that she's so proud of her boyfriend for recognizing that it's hard being a dog mom too. What is your response?

Can’t decide which dog to rescue 😭
