@damn.it.red, awh! My daughter got her surgery done when she was 2 months old. How about yours?

@mommyof_2woprincesses, lip surgery at six months. Palate surgery at a year. Bone graft at six.

@damn.it.red, oh wow. They told me my daughter didn’t need palate surgery because it wasn’t that bad and they told me she wouldn’t have a baby tooth there but she’ll have a permanent one there when she gets older. But she has one now so I don’t know what they are going to do about it.

@mommyof_2woprincesses, what does the roof of her mouth look like? She will proli need a bone graft.

@mommyof_2woprincesses, my daughter is 8 and has had about 16 surgeries so far.

@damn.it.red, the roof her mouth is fine. It’s just that little spot. And poor thing my daughter only had that 1 surgery and I was losing my mind just waiting for it to be over. Luckily we went home the same day so it was as nerve racking

@mommyof_2woprincesses, the roof of her mouth is her palate. The place where her tooth is messed up is a cleft in her upper jaw. She might need a bone graft to fix it later on. I’m not sure.

This is before she had her surgery. It’s just in the front so I’m not sure either. It doesn’t go no further

@mommyof_2woprincesses, yeah that’s an incomplete unilateral cleft. My daughter had an incomplete bilateral cleft. She’s too cute!!!!
