Need advice: should a newborn and toddler sleep in our room? My toddler sleeps with us, currently. She wakes up a couple of times a night to make sure we are in the room with her or for water.

Or move toddler upstairs by herself in her own room?

Or should my new room be the guest room upstairs which is right next to my toddlers room?

Our current room is big enough to have a toddler bed and a crib.

What has been your experience?

@lost.sock.thief I would have newborn in bassinet and toddler in her own bed. I'm just worried that my toddler will be alone upstairs since she's used to sleeping in our room

I’d move into the guest room and put my toddler in her own room next to ours.

My babies are 13 months apart and I can safely say I would lose my sanity if they were both in my room baby girl would wake him up constantly and it would be a battle to get them both to sleep so I say the 1YO gets her own room my son actually started sleeping better once he got his own room

@boymomx3 that's what I was thinking. They are going to keep waking each other up 😔 I think I'm gonna have to start putting her in her own room so she can start getting used to sleeping alone.

We had both boys in our room for a few weeks worse choice ever my middle was only 1 year when his brother was born and every time one cried it woke up the other. Its your choice but all babies are different

Delivering with a toddler in the room?

Delivering with a toddler in the room? Hub and I have no one to trust to watch our 2 year old once I go into labor. I wanted opinions about having my toddler with hub and I during delivery. I think it'll be nice for her to see her baby brother right away instead of just bringing home a strange baby. But what do you think? Anybody else deliver with a toddler in the room? Would love to hear experiences. Thanks ladies!

Will your Mom be in the delivery room? My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.
