Any after market product on a car seat is not safe. The items can interfere with the straps, keeping them from becoming tight enough to safely contain your child in the seat in a car crash.
Car seat safety is always such a touchy subject so I'm gonna leave it at that. But I beg you to please look up car seat safety for the sake of your child.
@mollygirl26, If it didn’t come with the car seat, it isn’t safe. It doesn’t matter if it’s checked. The reason it isn’t safe is because it’s not crash tested with the seat, so in a wreck, it can cause your seat to malfunction. I’m not saying it to be a douche, know it all, or anything of the like. @thetroller, Yes. The straps can also cause the seat to malfunction and your child can go flying out of their seat. (It just recently happened on the news). Some seats DO come with strap covers, which those would be safe to use.

BUT there is one exception. Lets say you currently own a Chicco car seat. If you wanted strap covers and an infant insert then you would buy them directly from Chicco. The reason why is because Chicco car seats and accessories have been crash tested together and are safe. Same goes for Graco, buy directly from Graco.
Aside from everyone's safety concerns for aftermarket carseat products... ( I neither condone or condemn)...I think it is beyond adorable and really love the print and the vivid colors... was this made or bought?
Another big thing too, If you get into an accident, and have to replace your seat..usually insurance will
Cover a new seat..but they won’t if you have something that declines the safety of the seat..like this covering, also a lot of hospitals do seat checks and won’t let you leave the hospital with it on your seat and it’s not flame retardant. I’d remove it.
@theinkedmommy, this is the only thing my hospital will accept for each of my 4 kids that seat here is beautiful I can understand why but it’s just not safe unfortunately
@mamacheybb, Its adorable, don’t get me wrong. It’s just really unsafe. If the car were to catch on fire in a wreck, the baby wouldn’t stand a chance. 😔

@thetroller, You can roll up some burp cloths and put them on either side of baby. That’s safe.
