I’m going to attempt breastfeeding again! I failed the first two times because I couldn’t produce milk! Any tips on moms who couldn’t produce milk and then did?
@joanna.marie939 it could.i suppose, but nursing every 2 hrs in the day and every 3 at night will tell your body to make milk. As well as skin to skin with the baby.
@melissa_luv228, I’m having a c-section too so my body isn’t going into labor o you think that effects it?
Feed every 2 hrs in the day and every 3 at night the first 2 weeks. You should get your milk in within 3 days or so until then you will have the colostrum for the baby. I used an app to keep track of feedings. Don't pump til you're about a month in. Also know the baby can get more milk from you then a pump can. If the baby is peeping and pooping you are getting them enough milk. Just go for it!! You can do this.
Do you know for sure you didn't produce milk? Did your child not gain weight or have enough wet diapers?
Same here! I had to really push myself though and my husband would always come in the room with a bottled water and literally watch me drink lol I’m not breastfeeding anymore and he still does it!
What worked for me was always staying hydrated, eating balanced meals and making sure I FOR SURE ate because it’s always easy to forget when you have kids and I would nurse, usually offer both sides and then pump. There were times I’d pump a good 10oz at a time. I know some other moms take supplements but I wouldn’t know which to suggest because I didn’t have to take them. All I did was take better care of myself then I did with my first baby. It actually worked lol
I hate how I don't produce enough milk and have to supplement with formula 💔😢 causing him to have explosive diarrhea
I wanna breast feed but I hardly produce any milk . Barely any 😔
Producing breast milk is so hard...i tried the mothers tea, i drink a lot of water and milk...I do have milk but barely make it to half bottle what else can i do???
mother's milk tea
Does anyone drink mother's milk tea and if so, does it work for you? I bought a box and haven't seen a difference. I produced more milk when I was eating the lactation cookies
At what month did you start producing milk? I'm 6 months pregnant next Sunday, is that normal!!:( i want to produce milk.
@denessev, that is sweet! I wish my man would do that
