Any autism moms here? My son was diagnosed 2 years ago and tonight is just one of those night. He is very limited on speech and is melting down because he wants something and I can’t understand what he want. It breaks my heart so much, he’s trying so hard to tell me and I just can’t understand. He crying I’m crying I guess I just need to know I’m not alone here, it gets so hard at times and I feel like I’m not doing enough.

@autism.mommy, thank you so much it means so much to no I’m not alone in this. I finally figured out he wanted the dice from a game we have that he hasn’t played for like a year after that he was happy and went right to sleep. I just really need to work on not blaming my self, I always feel like I caused this and its my fault that he has to go through this.

Hello there mama, my son is 4 and he is JUST developing his speech. He was nonverbal a lot of his life so I understand what you are going through. There are still times when I don’t understand what he’s saying and it does get overwhelming. Just hang in there and have lots of patience ❤️ cry if you need too! Ask you’re little one what he wants and offer things and see how he reacts. What are usual things he “asks” for? That’s what helped me understand what my son wanted ☺️ I followed you because I want to meet other autism mamas in hopes that we can all be here for each other! ❤️
