QUESTION :: how long is “long enough” to let a 7 month old “cry it out”??

When you have 2 king size beds pushed together I wouldn't have a clue who's in my bed. Breast is best. My goal was until they all turn 18. until then they are minors and unable to make that decision themselves.

@planetvagina, I asked how long do you think you should let a baby CIO . You could have simply said “I don’t believe in the CIO method” or simply not commented at all. @planetvagina, if I want my child,regardless of age, to sleep in her own bed then that’s what I’ll do. Your approval isn’t needed. She’s not fucking cold you sound dumb. Her bed is less than 2ft away so she’s not lonely. And our bathroom light(which is in our room) is on so it’s not dark. Shut the hell up ! AND I know my child. Just like I’m sure you know all 80 of yours. So I knew she was sleepy before I layed her down. All she wanted was to sleep in my bed and there’s nothing wrong with my teaching her that mommy’s bed is not her bed.

I'm pretty sure when you put someone to bed it's in a dark room, obviously alone, and not next to the body heat she's used to.. so ermmm yes dark, cold and lonely. Go cry hard for 7mins and see how you feel pretty fucking exhausted and sleepy.

@bitchcraft420, indeed it hurts my heart too ! But what I did was. Check in at 3 minutes. Rub back use soothing tone. Leave, come back after 7 mins do the same thing then next time come back in 11 mins and after coming back in 15 minutes she was knocked out ! Some moms are making it seem like I’m the worst mother ever for letting her CIO (WHILE STILL SOOTHING) smh

@mckallalynn.., she’s never not slept in my bed. We have a bassinet that’s practically unused that’s she’s now too big for . So we introduced her to her crib. She’s played in it for the last so it’s not unfamiliar. Now it’s time to learn that she has her own bed. My bed is less than 2ft away I don’t think it’s wrong to have her sleep else where

@messiah-mommy we co - sleep. So he is in my bed, before we co slept i had him in his bassinet, but I still wouldn't let him CIO. Idk. It just makes me wanna cry with him lol. Im a baby I know.

@mckallalynn.., where does he sleep at night ? My daughter will only sleep if she’s nursing in my bed ALL NIGHT !! If breast is removed or if she isn’t in my bed she won’t sleep! I’m trying to wean her off breast and out my bed . If she’s fed. Bathed . Changed . What’s the problem ?

I agree with @redheadedmonster JJ is 7 months old and I don't let him CIO. When he Cry's he is wanting or needing something whether it's diaper, fed, or even just loved.

@redheadedmonster, the reason is she wants to sleep in my bed. She’s not hungry. She’s not wet. She’s not sick. If I simply put her in my bed she stops crying. I believe it’s completely fine for her to find comfort in her own bed and start learning to self soothe. It has nothing to do with me being sleep deprived.

At 7mo, if they’re crying, there’s a reason. You won’t get much CIO advice from any of us BB ladies. And that’s not me being a dick, just honest. If she’s crying, cuddle her. Don’t leave her alone. I know being sleep deprived SUCKS, trust me, my son only slept 2-5am for 22mo straight. But leaving her to CIO breaks my heart.
