I’m moving here from BabyBump and was initially so sad to see that the app was closing down the forums as I need them now more than ever. Super thankful to have found a new app and that all of the ladies are moving over here as well. Honestly I’m just going to dive right in because I haven’t really talked about it and I want to just get it all out.
At my anatomy scan in March they were unable to see all parts of my daughters heart, which they said could be due to the fact that I was only 19 weeks at the time and she was being uncooperative. I got another one done this past Thursday and was told she has a heart defect, Transposition of the Greater Vessels, also known as “blue baby syndrome.” I am absolutely terrified. From what I’ve read the surgery has a high success rate and is done within the first few days of life, I’m just curious if there is anyone here that has experienced anything similar. This is my first baby and I have had the most amazing pregnancy. Wasn’t expecting this (but really, who ever is?) at all. Thanks in advance.
Welcome & sorry your going through all of this, lots of nice ladies here when your come across the welcoming ones ♥️
I will pray for you and your baby I was born with a whole in my heart and my lungs where not work I g well and look at me now pregnant anything is possible God us with you always!!!!!
My baby girls had very weak heart walls since 20w 💔 she also has a hernia by her lungs which I’ve heard is benign so I have my fingers crossed. But my nephew was born with an extra valve in his heart that they had to surgically close when he was 6 days old. He’s now a very happy 8 month old 💕💕 I’m sure everything will be fine with little one 💕
Thank you for your prayers ladies, I really appreciate it.
@kambam, we sat down and spoke with one right after the ultrasound and she said that our family history and the fact that everything else is forming correctly there isn’t any indication that it is genetic, just sporadic. The first cardiologist appointment is this Thursday and we should be able to get a more in depth look at the heart to see where/how the vessels are mismatched. I just keep going through waves of “I can’t believe this is happening” and being oddly at peace. Thank you for your kind words, my main focus is to get her here & healthy.❤️
Did they say anything about referring you to a genealogist? They were worried about a spot on my sons heart and I also have a heart defect so they hooked me up with genealogy and they talked to me in depth about everything, possibilities and such. I know it probably isn't hereditary but could help. Also, they mostly suspect everything with ultrasounds. Although technology is pretty advanced she may come out just fine or have a mild case. Worse case scenario: if she needs the surgery I wish you all the very best. Try not to stress about something you can't control right now and just focus on getting her here safely 😊👶
I dont know anything about it, other than what i just googled. Im so sorry you are dealing with this. Sending prayers! ❤

What the hell has happened on here? What with all the drama, all I have managed to find is that someone has said somebody is lying about being pregnant wtf ...... What the hell is going on 😐

Has anyone ever done this ?
P.s not mine
I just found the “celebrity moms” tab on here. First of all, Jessica Alba supposedly is here. Baby bumpers rejoice your mother has not abandoned you 😂
But also I’m 99% sure these are all fake amiright? 🙄😂
My daughter was born with TGA along with other defects. The other defects made her case a bit more complex but the one things the doctors and surgeons all told me was that TGA is the simplest fix because all they have to do is the switch the vessels. Of course as parents none of this is easy for us and all is equally scary. I pray for you and your baby. If you need anyone to talk to feel free to message me. I know how scary all this is.
