So this is my first baby and im 12 weeks and i feel like i should be starting to get like wipes and diapers atleast but then i get told to wait, when is a gopd time to start buying things for the baby?

You can never be too prepared. Especially w diapers and wipes. They go through them like crazy. I bought some since the beginning and then I had a diaper and wipe raffle at my shower and I still needed more newborns. Do what you’re comfortable with!
I was told not to buy any diapers and wipes until my baby shower. Yeah that was ridiculous and next baby I will start as soon as hit the 2nd trimester. You will need tons of diapers and wipes but if anything least start buying wipes now. My son is two and is still in diapers and we go through a giant box 808 wipes in 2-3 months
I started buying clothing early, but I was told to not buy a lot of diapers & wipes if I was gonna have a baby shower. And they were right, because I got so many packs of wipes & diapers in every size. I gave away 3 boxes of newborn diapers when my daughter went to size 1... and I'll have to do the same when she's in size 2 because she has so many boxes of size 1.
It's really up to what you're comfortable with. My SO was ready to get stuff but we waited until roughly 20 weeks.
You can start now if you want! It’s good to stock up on diapers and wipes because you’ll go through them like crazy.
Some things you can ask for for your baby shower. Things like diapers and wipes can be given in abundance too.
@ashley012000, what in the? Lol my only suggestion is get maybe a pack, no more than 2 packs of newborn diapers. They never stay in newborns long😊
