@fieldst0812, I had a lot of warning signs before my contractions even started. Loose stools, nausea, vomiting, losing my mucus plug, and loss of appetite.
Imagine really bad menstrual cramps. They start out very minor and slowly get worse - nearly unbearable. Look up some Lamaze breathing videos on YouTube. They really help to deal with the pain.
It gets your stomach hard like a Charlie horse and you have to wait for it to get soft
